LuxorV Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 And now, after seeing yellost inspirative work about Terry Pratchett, and after reading ImperialShadows' comment there, I felt the call to make the LEGOised version of the one and only very English Sci-Fi writer [drum roll]: Douglas Adams Fisrt of all, a pic of Adams in his youth And second a bit aged Adams with his inevitable cup of tea In this case the resemblance is not as perfect as in yellost's, but I think it came out quite well Comments are welcome LuxorV Quote
Shadows Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Only a man with a Heart of Gold can be counted on in times of need. Very nice job! Quote
yellost Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I don't know why but in that second picture, he makes me think of Doctor Who... Nicely done. Although the younger version is the better of the two. And Terry Pretchett is still the better writer Quote
LuxorV Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 Nicely done. Although the younger version is the better of the two. Thanks I agree, the younger version came out better. And Terry Pretchett is still the better writer Well, I haven't read anything by him yet, so I can't judge... Just make it Shadows doesn't hear you LuxorV Quote
BlueBard Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Nice literary "sigfigs", the first one looks pretty close to the photo It would be if someone could do an Andrezj Sapkowski's one... Hey, why not me? Coming soon, then... Quote
Wout Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Looks quite nice. You forgot the saucer on the second picture Quote
LuxorV Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 I'm glad you like them; it all started as a kind of joke for Shadows, but the more I look at them (specially the first), the more I like them @ BlueBard - I'll be waiting for your Andrezj Sapkowski LuxorV Quote
