Admiral Blockbeard Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 In this thread I will slowly be adding my LDD, creations. Believe it or not these were created before the community build started. To begin the proceedings I present the butcher. Thumbs are links to the bigger pictures. Next week is the Blacksmith Regards, Cpt. PB Quote
I Scream Clone Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Very nice work, I was just about to build the Butcher module for EBCCB, I think the chickens will make an appearance. Inspiration On! Fell free to join in any time mate ISC Quote
Sir Dillon Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I admit I have a hard time fully appreciating a creation when it has been built digitally, but this is a neat build. I particularly like the chickens and their coop, and the door is very nice. Were you planning on giving the house a roof? Quote

Glad to be of inspiration... lets hope draggy makes his gate soon Sir Dillon, I am much the same. Digital entries are very easily disregarded. However it has its own challenges such as part limitations and VERY limited techniques. Some creations such as this one are easily built by brick in real life, but take hours on LDD... Very frustrating indeed. I will give you two guesses as to why there is no roof... Yeah you got it the parts I wanted were not available. I would build more in MlCad, but i find it harder to use for some reason. Probably the fact you can not build in 3D... Regards, Cpt. PB Quote
Brickthing Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I like the module, and it could easily be adjusted for a great entry into the Community Build. If you can use Ldraw for it, you'd be able to make use of the decent rendering engines that come with it, so you could make the digital modules look quite good. Besides, digital is the only way to go if we want to build our castle completely isn't it? Quote
Admiral Blockbeard Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 It has been one week so here is the next installment... The Black Smith C and C welcome as always. Hope you like it. Regards, Cpt. PB Quote
