SirNadroj Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Inspired by the late Body Wars attraction in the now closed Wonders of Life pavilion at EPCOT Center, this MOC features a brave medical professional (shrunken) swimming deep within a patient's blood vessel, searching for the cause of the patient's ailment. I invite you to watch this short video of the attraction here. It features a brief history, then the full-ride video (similar to Star Tours): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCOvrxYIlPg...re=channel_page Thanks! Quote
Bob Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I've never been on the ride before, but the MOC looks amazing! Great Idea and concept. Good use of the rubberbands. Quote
General Armendariz Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Thats cool! uh what piece is that clear one that holds the minifig up? Quote
mandziarat Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Body Wars, don't remind me, I loved it, you made me sad. Good MOC Quote
AgentRick Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Remind's me of the episode of The Simpsons where they spoofed this. Quote
mania3 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Oh wow! This is so cool. I definitely remember that attraction from years ago when I went to EPCOT. Thanks for posting such a cool MOC. Are those just viking horns over the red satellite dishes with rubber bands? Quote
Zepher Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Okay Nadroj. I know I say this alot, but this is really one of the most interesting things I've seen from you. It's a great idea, and the blood cell is great. The virus, or whatever is clinging to it, is fantastic! Quote
Natman8000 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Thats cool! uh what piece is that clear one that holds the minifig up? The light up tube from the early exo-force sets. Sir Nadroj is a lego genius! I really like your work. Quote
SirNadroj Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 Thanks for the feedback. Are those just viking horns over the red satellite dishes with rubber bands? Nope, those new bionicle spiked, rubbery elements. The light up tube from the early exo-force sets. Sir Nadroj is a lego genius! I really like your work. Nope, this: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=42445 and these: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x165 Close though. Quote
Dadster Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) Nice MOC! I haven't been to Epcot (let alone FL) in a long time... I was living there when they took out 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Mr Toads Wild Ride. What else is gone? Remind's me of the episode of The Simpsons where they spoofed this. I thought they were spoofing the movie Fantastic Voyage or Inner Space... Though I guess either way its the same concept. Edited January 15, 2009 by Dadster Quote
