The Alchemyst Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Well this took quite a while, but I've finally finished and uploaded it. It's a Fusion Mech, incorporating both Technic [mostly for the joints and frame] and System [for outer shell]. Suppose to be an Mech with some sort of electric powers, dunno how. Click below for main picture. Gallery [When Public] Side Back, with turbines Back, without turbines Angled Back picture Without his gun. Turbines with Two up top. Turbines with one up top. Torso Close-up Pose1 Pose2 It's a bit blocky, mostly because of the fact my latest system sets with Yellow are from like 2001. ._.;; I still think it's my best work too date, and criticism would be nice. Thanks! [-The Alchemyst-] Quote
mania3 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 This is pretty good. I see what your saying about the blockiness, but the only thing that I think would need immediate work would be those 2x4s on the forearms. I love the pose with the weapon in hand. Nice MOC. Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 The gun made from the robo rider body is very original and cool looking, well done. Quote
Zarkan Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I'm always happy to see more people combining System and Technic/Bionicle, so it's a great pleasure to view this MOC. Despite the inherient blockiness, you've managed to work in a nice shape and design. I especially love the torso and head, and other than the feet I can't really see any major areas that need improvement. Good job, and I hope to see more from you. Quote
Front Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Looks great, good combination of system bricks and bionicle ball joints. Some time back I though about adding wheels to a mechs legs, so that it could crouch down and drive on them. Not sure that your wheels are suppose to do that though. Front Quote
General Armendariz Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Cool! That Mecha has a big gun! Nice use of bionicle masks for shoulder pads. Looks like a construction bot! Quote
Asuka Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 A very lovely design, elegant and poseable yet still pretty sturdy. Clever! Quote

Thanks, glad people like it. The gun made from the robo rider body is very original and cool looking, well done. To tell the truth, the gun was a last minute addition. I went through a lot of weapons, a whip, a staff, no weapons at all, before liking the gun. The feet were the last things made, I started from the top to the bottom, so they were going to suck because of the lack of pieces. D: I wish I had more of the curved pieces. Then I could at least give it some shape. Thanks, I'll be sure to post more up here in EB. 8D Looks great, good combination of system bricks and bionicle ball joints. Some time back I though about adding wheels to a mechs legs, so that it could crouch down and drive on them. That Mecha has a big gun! Nice use of bionicle masks for shoulder pads.Looks like a construction bot! From the color, I suppose. But why would a Construction Bot carry a huge gun? And about the masks, I actually thought they would make good shoulder pads and that's the reason I started to build the MOC. XD A very lovely design, elegant and poseable yet still pretty sturdy. Clever! Thanks! [-The Alchemyst-] Quote
