Zepher Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Lord Chester settled down to what he thought would be a normal night of good sleep. When he woke up he found himself floating in a snowy land. His body moved through the air towards the stair on its own accord, where it set him down gently. Chester: Where am I? Is anyone out there? Unknown voice: Welcome Lord Chester! Chester: What? Who’s there? Voice: Me. I'm your guide. Chester: Guide? Through where? Where am I? Did you kidnap me! What's the ransom! you know, I own a very powerful company, they will find me. Guide: We didn't kidnap you! Don't be ridiculous! Your brain brought you here. Chester: My... my brain? Where is here? Guide: Your mind. Well, a metaphorical version of it at least. Chester: Oh... Guide: You were brought here to see what sort of man you are! Chester: OH! It's like that movie! You know the Christmas Pact and Present and all that! That one! Guide: Um, yeah, I guess it is sorta like that... Chester: What's that over there? Guide: That's your metaphorical values, and your metaphorical love. Chester: They don't look very healthy. Guide: They aren't. Your values started dying a while ago. When you started to climb the ranks of you company, you sort of gave up on them. They're area turned to snow, sand and rock. It spilled over into your love's land too. Chester: Oh. Guide: Well, we must keep moving. Chester: Where are we now? Guide: Your sea of Unconsciousness. It's all your back thought things. Chester: What's that? Guide: That's your breathing. Guide: Inhale through the front and exhale through the... BOOM! Guide: ...back. Chester: What's the other thing? Guide: That's your dreams. Chester: It's all money. Guide: Yep. Chester: Oh... I get it now. Guide: Come along. We need to see your memory. Chester: So this is my memory? Memory: Sure is Lord Lester! Chester: Chester. Memory: Yes. Whatever. Memory: These here are your more important memories. We make sure to keep them safe from the flooding of the Unconscious Sea by bringing them up here and show casing them. On your left you'll see your less important memories. Those can be lost at any time. Chester: What are those little heads? Memory: Well, Jester- Chester: Chester. Memory: Right, Jester, they gather the memories! Chester: Why do all the memories look the same? Memory: Well, you haven't really done anything with your life. Haven't been to many cool places or done cool things. Chester: I guess you're right. Memory: Looks like they found a good memory. We'll have to find a spot for it! Good bye Carl. Chester: Chester. Memory: Charles! Good bye! Chester: Why can't he remember my name? Guide: Your memory has memory issues. That's irony for you. If you ever get out of here, develop a sense of humor. No one else down here things its funny. Chester: What do you mean if? Guide: Moving along! Chester: Where are we now? Guide: The imagination! Chester: Who is that? Guide: That's the woman in charge of the Imagination. I've always been told to avoid her. (I so almost put handcuffs in that box next to her, but decided against it because I have none.) Chester: If she's anything like her real world counterparts, I'd avoid her at all costs. Guide: But then again, your ability to love is dying a while over. Chester: That's true. Chester: Where are we headed now? Guide: The house of Manners. Chester: Is that good? Guide: Depends. Guide: Hello Manners. Manners: Hello Chester. Hello good sir. Late as usual. Guide: Afraid so. Memory held us up. Chester: I'm never late! Manners: But you've given up on respecting people. Maybe if you had paid more attention to that you wouldn't be about to be killed. Chester: What? Manners: Oh, um, guess you haven't been... carrying along. I mustn't hold you! Being punctual is always important! Guide: Yes come along. Chester: Dead... dead? Getting killed? Where are we now? Guide: What does it look like? Chester: A construction site. Guide: Correct. We started building you humor, here, but early in your life we realized you weren't really using it. So we stopped. Chester: That's sad... Chester: What's around this corner? Guide: You probably shouldn't go there... Chester: Holy... Guide: Yeah... your Death. This just appeared a while ago. I'm afraid. Turns out some one in your big company's going to try to kill you. Guide: Or rather, he's going to try to kill you. This is supposed to teach you how to be a better person, and if you don't, you'll be killed. Chester: And if I do become a better person? Guide: Um... you may be killed anyways. Maybe this is just used to get you into heaven. If you believe in that sort of thing. If you believe in that sort of thing. Your faith had a heart attack a few years back... so... Chester: You know what, I probably learned something from this. Now if we could hurry back so that I could save my life... Guide: 'Spose that would be good. Hope you really learned something! Guide: Best of luck up there sir! Chester: And you too sir! Guide: Thanks. OVER ALL SHOTS CAST (Some people may notice that Rook is Death. I'd respond "Doesn't he occupy that spot in your mind too?)
