Admiral M Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 You could also use 4 binoculars and a snot brick. remember a gatling gun is a gun with multiple barrels. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Awesome Gatling gun! I think you should use binoculars like Admiral M said, but then are the barrels very short and thick. The realistic way is the gatling gun made by RTN LNA (Lego Naval Architect). Quote
Capn Frank Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I made a large 8 barreled one a while ago. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 That doesn't look so bad, I see it can rotate as well. Nice job! Is that the stern of your Constitution at the background? Quote
Capn Frank Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 That doesn't look so bad, I see it can rotate as well. Nice job! Thanx Cap'n. Is that the stern of your Constitution at the background? Yes, it is. Quote

Captain Blackmoor Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 The gatling gun is used in the great movie The Last Samurai. In the bonus disc of this DVD they show exactly how it works and how it is made. I have the re-released version of this movie so older DVDs may be different. I recommend this because it could be very useful. I'm looking forward to the result of your gatling gun! Quote
Ralph Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Because he's talking about an old british gatling gun used in the Civil War. The british gun is just plain kewl. Ralph Quote
Zorro Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I love those gatling designs, especcialy yours Phred. Good job . Personnaly I want to build one for my army, which would be situated in a slightly post Napoleonic era then. Quote
Ratshot Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Take a look at some of the old Exo-Force sets for gatling gun ideas. Quote

Good job .Personnaly I want to build one for my army, which would be situated in a slightly post Napoleonic era then. Thanx Mr. Fox. I wish i could make my barrels closer together. I think Kurt's (RTN LNA) design is much closer to Minifig scale. Quote
isaacbrockthebuilder Posted January 24, 2009 Author Posted January 24, 2009 Here the first design of mine (sorry for the blurriness and the size) Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Looks great so far, but I prefer some close ups and larger pics. Experiment with your camera to take the best pictures. Take several pics about the same thing and pick the best one out. This is a very good program for resizing pictures. This might help as well. The only problem I have is the fact I have no camera specialized for nearby pics. Quote
