woody64 Posted January 7, 2009 Author Posted January 7, 2009 Results of the newest 3d Print trial: From left to right: - New French Shako with smaller wall size - the fatter old French Shako - the Bearskin - the bajonette I think the new French Shako design works. Check if it's according to your inputs ... The bajonette works in princible but has to be enlarged. Andreas Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Looks awesome! The bayonet could be longer indeed. I think it's very well attached to the gun so it won't fall off. The shako's looks great as well. Paint them and you're done, but I know it works different. Keep up the good work! Quote

Capt. Kirk Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Andreas,... is it possible to show a picture take at eye-level of the minifigs... with other words, not a photo from above but in front ? Realy want to see the new French Shako with smaller wall size. By the way... looking great and keep up the good work... respect !!! Quote
woody64 Posted January 7, 2009 Author Posted January 7, 2009 Voila ... I think it's nearby the picture you have given. Andreas Quote
Scouty Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Like said before, I think the bayonet could be longer, because: As it is, it's not intimidating, and that what the purpose of the bayonet was for. The clip seems to be much larger/thicker. Maybe have the bayonet straight a little more, and then going into the point. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Agreed, just make the bayonet a little bit taller and it will look awsome. Just like your minifigs with their very nice shako's. Quote
woody64 Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 The new bajonette has arrived. The size is now OK, but the ring has to be a little bit smaller. Additionally I got: - British shako small (looks nice to my point of view) - Ulan shako small - Barret - Scott Barret - Medieval Hat - Merchant Hat - Cavallry Hat 19th cnetury - periwig Unfortunately I have to make some small design corrections of the shown items. So the marked items in the shop are ok. The other will be adpated by the end of the week. Very sad to say that I mad a terrible mistake with the baker rifle, which is to small and only can be used as cavalry rifle at the moment. Also the Pallasch was not correct designed. Maybe I did that on the day after silvester? Andreas Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Absolutely fantastic! I love it! It looks like it's going very well with your project. I'm curious how this looks like when the new bricks are coloured! I've been watching this thread very closely and I see you've made a lot of improvements so far. That's why those looks so awesome. Now paint 'em!!! Great work! Quote
NewRight Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I think I have to agree with what ImperialScouts mentioned. The bayonet should be a little more longer to be intimidating. I also think maybe a little wider, but fantastic mold either way. Quote
Capt. Kirk Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Nice Job !!! But is it possible to show some pictures of the wig (front/side/back)... if you have the time of course Andreas. Perhaps not a bad idea for selling your work... show them in these three shots... just an idea... Quote

Capt. Kirk Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 THX !!! This gives a good view of your work... If they are in production... let me/us know... Quote
woody64 Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 (edited) THX !!!This gives a good view of your work... If they are in production... let me/us know... This version is now buyable from shapeways in the condition shown at the picture. I've brought it to a state that the fabricator can take over web shop, ordering, printing and shipping. (The painting and any other post handling is lead to the buyer since there's no time for me to do that - see also the shop remark given on the link in the signature) Andreas Edited January 23, 2009 by woody64 Quote

woody64 Posted February 7, 2009 Author Posted February 7, 2009 That's pretty awesome! I like it a lot. The newest mold shows correct size and fitting of the bajonette on the old lego rifle: Andreas Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I think this is the right size! It fits pretty well with the original Lego gun. Keep the custom pieces coming!! Quote
woody64 Posted September 26, 2009 Author Posted September 26, 2009 Recently I addded a 2nd version of the bayonette (in sword form): Woody64 Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Very good design again. But can you also place this one on the bottom of the barrel of the gun? That would be a nice improvement Quote
