I still remember mine: it was a Black Falcon fortress with a long wall around it and several towers, in the centre it had a tower-keep!

I also had an army to attack it with two of the older castle-catapult sets (don't remember which exactly, but I remember asking (and getting) 5 knight on a horse - impulse packs + those 2 catapuls for my christmas.

The first one I actually remember is when I was three or four. I wanted to make a forest, but I only had one tree (a granulate one). So I put it on a baseplate and proudly presented it to my parents: 'Look, I made a one tree forest!' - We kept calling isolated trees 'one tree forests' after that.

In case you mean as an adult, it's probably the car from the Gaston Lagaffe (Guust Flater) comics, which I did after getting some 2nd hand Lego and browsing the web and finding out about Ldraw.

I agree with Skinny boy. I'm surprised that anybody actually remember their first MOC. I'm pretty sure that one of the first things I ever did when getting my (then little) hands on LEGO bricks (Duplo actually) was building something myself. To me that was and still is the whole point of LEGO. The first 'MOC' that I know of shows up on a picture taken when I was about four years old. It is a windmill made with a combination of Duplo and system bricks. It was multi-coloured, but the blades could spin.

The oldest that's on the internet is probably my KC-135 tanker aircraft from about 15 years ago

My first MOCs were built in school at age 5, to the envy of all the boys :P. I made a jet (it was very blocky) called The Crow, as it was all black with a yellow slope/invert for the beak and a clear brick for the eyes. I should really rebuild it at some point. Another was a massive bi-plane from duplo. Alas no pictures survive.

Do you really expect people to remember? I mean, I've been playing with Lego since I was three years old.

Try to contribute to the conversation. Just being obstinate won't win you any friends. If you don't like a topic, you don't have to respond to it.

I do remember mine as well. It was a house. I have a picture of it somewhere. I will do my best to locate it. Excellent topic

Wow, Nirdian, SNOT in your very first MoC? You are gifted indeed!

My first MoC of any sort that I remember must've been when I was around three or four, when I built a Polkaroo out of Duplo. Unfortunately, no photos were taken. I could get a picture of me playing with some cans, though, if you'd like.

Seconded. :sceptic: I think I started playing (and MOCing) with Lego (or Duplo in that case) even earlier than that! After all, "MOC" refers to any Lego creation that was built using your own creativity instead of instructions.

So, yeah, I couldn't possibly remember what my fist one was. However, I might be able to find the first picture that was taken of one of my MOCs...

I don't remember the very first MOC I made, but I do know the first MOC I made after my dark ages, and the first one posted on the internet.

Behold, the "X-Quad"!

I remember how proud I was of it. It's hard to believe, but that was just barely over a year ago. It's amazing how much practicing, and seeing great MOCs here and on other LEGO websites has helped me improve my MOCs. :classic:

This is the first thing I made once I got back into LEGO back... maybe 2004?

It was also used in this brickfilm I did around the same time.

I rebuilt that base/ capital ship/ whatever it was dozens of times as numerous things. I kinda' miss it. It had a working elevator, lots of unique rooms, a hangar bay, and a bunch of cool stuff.

It was probably a mod to some official town or space set from the late 80s. There is a picture of me at age 3 holding what appears to be a beefed up 6886 with more interior space (for the Blacktron guy, as I didn't know at the time that he was supposed to be an enemy ), although I have no recollection of building it.

As Skinny Boy said, nobody is going to clearly remember what they built at that age. The first things that I can remember reasonably well are from age 7 or so.

The first one that I carefully planned out and actually put a lot of time and effort into (in a sense the first AFOL era model) was this one.

Heh, thanks. But I started MOCing rather late... I think I was like 6-8 or something when I made that.

Thanks for the compliment anyway!

Not to put down Nirdian He is a great builder but the reason why it's so good is because if you read the caption you would see that he has improved it over the years but it is still pretty good!

As I wrote before, I started with Duplo. Well, I'm with my dad right now, for Christmas, and we've found and scanned a picture taken when I was four holding a windmill I built.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't my first MOC, but it does seem to be one of the first of which I have a picture.

After my very early MOCs, more planes followed. I graduated to a more streamlined "jet" shape, half remembered from pictures of fighter jets and such in books. I made a fleet of them with names taken from the birds I thought were best. My first space ship I made was called Andromeda, sadly I lost the photo of that.

1198434806_THUMB.jpg

That was the first MOC I posted online (I think. It's certainly the "oldest" MOC I have a photo of.) It's still sat in a drawer of MOCs I haven't dismantled yet.

My first moc must be back in the seventies, I have no clue what it was supposed to be, but I have just sorted some old bricks from my childhood, and there are lots of wheels with metal axles, a bit of train and some space. I only had a few pieces of Duplo.

Moc on the internet ? Well that's my alternatives of Exo-Force here on EB, probably 7701 first. Or maybe that does not count as a moc?
