prateek Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 This is one of the best Canadian promotions I've seen! Quote
BlueDragonZ Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 This is one of the best Canadian promotions I've seen! Considering ToysRUs usually only have 15-20% off sales, this is pretty good especially since all the sales items are at MSRP! Quote

I'm tempted to go and buy a swamp speeder and get the mini republic attack shuttle, but am I to understand that there will be more deals the week after this one? Quote

There should be more sales after this one but no guarantees. What I would recommend is buy the lowest possible cost Star Wars toy (it doesn't have to be LEGO) at ToysRUs so you can get the $10 savings card. Tommorow is the last day that you can get the saving card. You can then use it during October to save $10 off $40 Star Wars purchases. Good luck! Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I think Express means that is is smaller than regular TRUs, which it is. We got one in the mall here by me, opened up a few weeks ago. It looks like a KB Toys to be honest. Very limited selection and those great TRU prices! But yeah, a small mall version of TRU. Quote

BearHeart Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Has anyone seen Harry Potter sets in stock yet? Quote
dr_spock Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I picked up the Harry Potter Lego board game at Mastermind Toys the other day. I had a 25% off coupon for anything in stock that weekend and wanted something big. Somebody beat me to 8043 excavator. :( Quote
BlueDragonZ Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Has anyone seen Harry Potter sets in stock yet? Saw it on the shelves at a ToysRUs Express store. Unfortunately, the store is not open for business yet. Quote
BearHeart Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Saw it on the shelves at a ToysRUs Express store. Unfortunately, the store is not open for business yet. They just showed up on the TRU Canadian website today (Oct 1). I was at TRU yesterday but they weren't there yet. I'm gonna pop out at lunch today to see if they're in stock. I'm guessing they were waiting for the Oct 1st to put them out on shelves. Quote

Ogre Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 (edited) Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! So, does anybody know why in the hell's bells us Canadians can't order the Winter Village Bakery from Shop At Home? Every other freakin' country that's on the SAH list has it available (except for South Korea, were it's not being sold) except Canada!!!! I've been looking at that "Available October 1" message for two friggin' months and now that October 1 is here, I can't order it? WTF is up with THAT?!?!?!?!? I phoned SAH as soon as they opened this morning and the lady was baffled and couldn't provide me with an answer, though she promised she was trying to find out for me. Six-plus hours later and still no answer. Oh, and in addition, we can't order the Halloween sets or the Tower Bridge but, at least the Harry Potter sets are available. *edit* Okay, finally, as of 2:30pm Friday, October 1, these items can now be ordered. FINALLY! Ugh. Edited October 1, 2010 by Ogre Quote
Ricecracker Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 All of the Harry Potter sets are available at TRU at Yonge and Eglinton in Toronto! Will they sell this set separately? I'm sure they will if you ask. I got one a few weeks ago before they were officially out here. Quote

Ogre Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 BTW... I'm assuming y'all know of this but, since I haven't seen it mentioned here (and don't know where else I should look), I thought I'd mention it... If you go to lego.com and click on 'shop online', you'll notice on the shop page 'Win your LEGO wish list'. Download the form, fill in your top ten 'wish list' sets (up to $1000 value) and you could win that entire wish list. Tres cool, no? Quote
