Athos Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 I now give you the first ever Viking Vignette! http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...kings/odin1.jpg Here we have Odin, the one-eyed chief god of the Vikings hanging on the world tree, in his quest for wisdom. His spear lies on the ground after piercing him. His ravens Huginn and Muninn watch from the tree branches... Cutty Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 I think the Tree Of Life is a bit lacking in ..... size? Honestly I always thought of it to be of gargantuan dimensions, putting any common redwood toothpick to shame. But for the MOCing qualities: Most excellent! I like it very much. How about a vig of Thor and Hymir fishing for Middy-Snake?! ^^ Vikingish salutations to all *viki* , Cutthor Quote
Cyclonis Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Yeah it is a little small but i love your vignettes so i will say i like it. Great. Also, can the beard fit nicely under the vikings neck with the helmet on, without having to trin the noseguard? Quote
Athos Posted September 26, 2005 Author Posted September 26, 2005 Here's a bit of background on the vignette for those of you who are confused by it. It is taken from a wikipedia: Odin was a compulsive seeker of wisdom, consumed by his passion for knowledge, to the extent that he sacrificed one of his eyes (which one this was is unclear) to Mimir, in exchange for a drink from the waters of wisdom in Mimir's well. Further, the creation of the runes... is attributed to Odin and is described in the R Quote
