languages Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 I just recieved this book yesterday and let me tell you its a must have! In my oppinion its 319 pages of Lego goodness.... The book covers 13 topics plus a BRICOPEDIA (a portable Peeron) and Design Grids (for mosaics). The topics are: - The Lego System: Endless Possibilities - Back to Basics: Tips and techniques - Minifig scale: Oh, What a wonderful Minifig World it is! - Miniland Scale: The Whole World in miniature - Jumbo Elements: Building Bigger Bricks - Microscale Building: More than meets the eye - Sculptures: The shape of things to build - Mosaics: Patterns and pictures in bricks (My Faviourite!) - Technic: Not as technical as it may seem - Putting It all together: Where ideas meet bricks - Beyond Just Bricks: Other things to do besides Building - Sorting, storage, and sitting down to build something - Making and Using Tools for Lego projects The book is all black and white but every picture is crystal clear. Sometimes the writing gets a bit technical in places, but this doesnt matter much. The book contains quite a few building instructions and a Miniland figure section where it tells you how to make Legolands faviourite people! Even though the book cost Quote
Starwars4J Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Wow, fantastic. I'm definitely gonna have to check it out. Quote
Mr. Lego-builder Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Ahh...yes. I've been tracking this book. I just placed my order yesterday on Amazon, and I'm happy to say that all those Americans out there (including me) doesn't have to pay the full $24.95 Retail Price, but instead only $16.47 on Amazon.com, or for even less if you get it used. Happy buying! Quote
