Algernon Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Anybody else notice this? Are these two the same? And if not, good God who is that guy with the black visor? It's a very cool accessory(As is the other, but if this is a Lego Cops helmet, then they're just as awesome as the criminals)! Good catch... I assumed they were, but they might be different. I have a hunch they're the same criminal, though. Quote
Moose Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 they arent the same. the guy at the top of the pic is the cyclops dude, the helmet was seen in the impulse. the other guy is spike and has a helmet like the one russell crowe wears in gladiator; his name is spike Quote
TheShnomon Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 (edited) Personally I'm hoping there different, so that way we get 3 really great new minifigs at once. I mean, if you look at the missile the orange criminal is clearly firing it at the guy, so why would he attack his ally(rhyme not intended)? they arent the same. the guy at the top of the pic is the cyclops dude, the helmet was seen in the impulse. the other guy is spike and has a helmet like the one russell crowe wears in gladiator; his name is spike You sure he's the cyclops? I could be wrong, but that sure doesn't look like him to me... Wait, you're right Moose. Sorry about the quick assumption, I just now realized the cyclops has the visor on his mask. Brickthing Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Looking closely at that picture, it looks a bit to me that the spike alien is in the other front pod...It would make sense for a set this size to have quite a couple of minifigs - maybe 3 aliens and 2 or 3 police? Quote
Mirandir Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 We've seen Hyperspeed Pursuit, Container Heist, the Galactic Enforcer, and bits and pieces of other sets. That still leaves Max Security Transport, Squidman Escape, Squidman Pitshop, Gold Heist, Freeze Ray Frenzy. That's quite a bit. Well I thought that this was from freeze ray frenzy but after a quick look I realized that that airship is similar but bigger. It's the same badguy though. But I still believe that the vechile that squidman is on in this picture is from gold heist. It's the same size anyway. The two later sets are TRU exclusives and not in the catalogue so I didn't know about them until recently... Quote

Mirandir Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Exactly what frame of reference are you using, here? The preliminary picture in LEGO retailer Catalogue 2009... Just realized that we've actually seen the whole of that set as I had forgotten that this larger SP III plane is in it besides that small scooter thingie. The box has the same dimension 6241 Loot Island. Which gives a hint at what size the set is. Quote

To answer my own question, Gold heist, which means that either four-arms, IS squid-man and he apears in 3 sets, or what I think, he is four-arms and apears in 1 or more sets, unless he isn't actualy on the scooter in the set. also, is there any-thing you can tell us about the sqidman sets, or freze ray frenzy, you already told us about the cool, but large spacer-cycle but what about minifigs, or space police vehicles... NEED INFO Edited February 10, 2009 by dannylonglegs Quote
Algernon Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I seriously doubt the green guy is Squidman. He doesn't look "squiddy" at ALL to me. Quote

NEED INFO It contains 2 figs. 1 Space Police and "Pliskin", or a fig that looks very much like him. The Space police fig is on a smallish vechile. Unfortunatly it's in the background and the pic is so small I can't really tell what it looks like. I seriously doubt the green guy is Squidman. He doesn't look "squiddy" at ALL to me. Well the catalogue pics are prelims but the fig has the same, or a very similar, head as that four armed guy. However it seems like in the Squidman sets he only have two arms. And a red cape, btw. Algernon Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I'm just waiting for the surge of Toy Fair pics. We'll see everything we want to, then. By the way, I'm confident the sets we've seen are final or near final. Once the box art looks that polished it's unlikely that the sets will change much before release. I remember reading some mentions of "prelim" and I thought I should point that out. If we see any changes at all they'll be very minimal. I have a feeling what we've seen so far is what we'll be buying in stores. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 do you like the list, if any one has anything to add, or problems (espesialy of they've seen the sets...) please post them and I will add! Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 O.O OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. SQUIDMAN, IS SO COOL... AUSOME!!!!! I SPELLED AUSOME WRONG!!!!!! HOW DO YOU SPELL AUSOME?!?!?!?!?!?!? AWESOME Quote
Algernon Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I think Squidman is an asylum escapee with a superhero complex. Quote
hewkii9 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) You say Squidman I say greatest minifig ever. Potato potahtoe. Also looking at Four-Arms's torso I say SLITHEEN FTW Edited February 11, 2009 by hewkii9 Quote
Algernon Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Closer examination of the pics: Squidman Escape: Reminds me of the Galactic Chief! Squidman is neat, but I think his legs and torso need more detail. The Police Vehicle is decent though. Freeze Ray Frenzy: Lovely! I see a Space Cycle ( ) and a nice-looking enemy vehicle. Also, classic airtanks! Gold Heist: That Police Vehicle looks PERFECT. That is a must buy for me! All in all not disappointed in the least! Quote
hewkii9 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Squidman in the set photo has an old Rascus torso - it probably won't be in the final set. Quote

Yeah, looking over them, I think a lot of the figs will change. Why are the Space Police all gray? They look more suited for Blacktron. Also I'm detecting multiple Space Police torsos. Quote
CP5670 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) The Galactic Enforcer looks different from the earlier picture. Many of the transparent parts are now medium blue instead of dark blue. I think that kind of kills the look and doesn't fit in with the rest of the theme either. Edited February 11, 2009 by CP5670 Quote
Corvus Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Wow. That's something. The aliens are looking a tad bit cartoony to me, but I like 'em anyway, especially that four-armed guy. And look! There's a mini-robot in the Galactic Enforcer! Quote
osakana Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 How. Can. They. Breath. With. Them. Open. Helmets??? They will make great City Gestapo. Quote
