Sir Dano Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 (edited) Just the various factions of my fantasyverse. Dragon Masters and Royal Knights Bitter enemies of the North Eastern territories. The Kingdom Of Leonis & The Children Of The Light One is a central kingdom with a high concentration of magic users, the other is a powerful religious movement who has taken over the small, once peaceful land of the Forest Kingdom, and are bent on eradicating magic in all it's forms. The Lion Knights and the Nagai The Lion Knights are mainly a trading kingdom with strong ties to the Dragon Masters, and the Nagai are Dark Elves who are too busy with internal politics to bother much with the other kingdoms. The Aj'yedjha Necromancers and the Torosai Clan Two Far Eastern kingdoms of which not much is known, other than that the Aj'yedjha use the undead as manual labour, and the Torosai Clan use a mysterious powder to cause explosions. Raiders Barbarians from the West are usually held back by the Kingdom of Leonis, and the Orcs from the Far North are usually held in check until the Dragon Masters and Royal Knights start fighting again. Bandits, Rebels, and other Miscreants The Forestmen are guerrilla fighters who fight The Children Of The Light for the kingdom that is rightfully theirs, the Wolf Pack and Goblins are bandits who steal from all the other factions. I know my background stories aren't the best, but please enjoy the figs anyway! :) Edited November 6, 2008 by sir dano Quote
Raven Brickroft Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Nice write up and variety of kingdoms. If only I had my old figs... Do you have any structures for any of them? Quote
Sandy Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 The different factions are surely nice, and you've used the different emblems that the official sets offer well. My only big gripe is that you have only one female minifig among all of them - are you saying that women can't be warriors? *shakes fist* Heh, don't take me too seriously, but really, a few more ladies among the lords would help. Sir Dano Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 (edited) are you saying that women can't be warriors? Far from it, actually. I have a fetish for them . My Black Falcon faction is almost entirely women: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3305909 The only reason I didn't add them in with my others is because I was doing them entirely with purist pieces, and I own not one single purist Black Falcon shield or torso. My Crown Knights also have a few: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3305954 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3290238 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3288050 And I also have a couple in this topic. Is that enough? Edited November 6, 2008 by sir dano Quote
Sandy Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 That's enough, thank you! Although one of your Black Falcon women has a stubble beard... Quote
Sir Dano Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 Although one of your Black Falcon women has a stubble beard... I said almost. ;) Quote
Dwarvenlord Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Very nice factions, Dano! But one thing is bothering me: where are the Dwarves? Why are the fair Dwarves always in the minority? Seriously, the barbarians, the Torosai Clan and the Nagai are very cool! Ready for battle! Quote
Sir Dano Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 Do you have any structures for any of them? Unfortunately my collection of parts isn't big enough for that yet.where are the Dwarves? Crap, knew I forgot something when I had the camera... Quote

Dwarvenlord Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Crap, knew I forgot something when I had the camera... I'm glad to hear you forgot them, instead of alienate them... Quote
Sir Dano Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 I'm glad to hear you forgot them, instead of alienate them... I Didn't forget them all together though: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3305953 I just hadn't made any changes to them, so I didn't bother photographing them this time. Quote
Dwarvenlord Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Ok. If you want dwarves that look different then the normal ones, you could try a plateskirt. I made some myself and they look very well on my dwarves! Maybe i'll photograph them once... Quote
The Mugbearer Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Wow! Cool factions! I like Royal Knights and Children of Light alot! Quote
