Captain Cavinano Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Still miss the sail It's a Chinese Junk Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Mate, this is great. But those windows look waaaaaaaaaaaay too modern. If I were you, I would scrap the whole middle section and put something up the back. IMHO anyway. Quote
Captain Cavinano Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 Well, it could be a modern junk. Quote
Guss Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 that looks great .. that's a nice use of city piece to make a junk !!! really ! that looks too "modern" but ... I think you don't really have the choice with these pieces, Can't wait to see it with sails ^^ Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Well, it could be a modern junk. Then it's in the wrong forum. Sorry, but it looks heaps too modern. Quote
Captain Cavinano Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 It would be looks better if I put on the sails... Quote
Talon Karrde Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Then it's in the wrong forum. Sorry, but it looks heaps too modern. I disagree, it could be modern day pirates, making it relevant to this forum. Quote
Captain Cavinano Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 I disagree, it could be modern day pirates, making it relevant to this forum. Ummm... You're right Quote
Patriot720 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 (edited) To me, it looks like you took this set and added/subtracted/moved some pieces to create your junk. I would scrap everything but the hull, and start anew with more customization. edit: are you trying to make this junk fit into the pirate line or making a fire boat junk? Captain Zuloo Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I disagree, it could be modern day pirates, making it relevant to this forum. Er - wrong. This forum is, and I quote: "Pirates, Soldiers, Guards, Islanders, Armada, Napoleonic Wars, Aztec, Maya, Inca and the Age of Sail". Making it not valid for this forum if it is indeed intended as a modern day pirate ship. Quote
El Bucanero Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Er - wrong. This forum is, and I quote: "Pirates, Soldiers, Guards, Islanders, Armada, Napoleonic Wars, Aztec, Maya, Inca and the Age of Sail". Making it not valid for this forum if it is indeed intended as a modern day pirate ship. Spot on, Zully! Do we think this should be in a more modern forum rahter than the Pirate forum? Quote
Captain Cavinano Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 Stop arguing me hearties! We, Chinese have a few words: 以和為貴. That means peace is precious. If these words from me "Well, it could be a modern junk." are wrong, I said sorry here. Don't argue any more. Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Well, this isn't a modern forum. But back to the suggestions, I think you should replace the transparent windows with the 1x2x3 rounded at the top windows found in sets such as the Armarda Flagship. Do you know what I mean? Quote
Captain Cavinano Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 I know but I don't have that kinds of bricks(extra). Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Do you have any other kinds of windows? Just that itlooks to modern, and even if it was modern pirates, they don't use junks anyway. Quote
Captain Cavinano Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 Do you have any other kinds of windows? No. I will not focuss on the windows so much. Because I am finding some cloths to make the sail. Quote
Captain Cavinano Posted November 13, 2008 Author Posted November 13, 2008 Hi, My fellow captains, I be here to tell you the sail will not be done so soon because I have loads of works to do. Maybe I will complete the sail next month. I'll try my best to do it well and you won't be disappointed. Captain Cavinano Quote
