Argos Christmas Catalogue is out already. Not much new happening Lego wise, just reduced prices on 3 sets. However, there are some more reductions now listed on argos.ie (just checked it) on Star Wars sets.

The catalogue set I noticed was Agents Mission 7: Deep Sea Quest at €52.49. This is the only remaining one of the theme I don't have, and I would really like it, but I've many other sets I'd prefer from next year, so I may have to forgo it. The reduction is still only €2.50 below S@H (€54.99), so I can still get it there later next S@H order without much penality. The catalogue also has the coastguard platform at €59.49 (I would love this set too, but again, it's just not high enough up the list and I can't buy everything!). The third set listed was a Star Wars one.

The complete list of Star Wars sets marked as reduced on argos.ie, prices ARGOS/(S@H):

€101.24 (€129.99) 10178 - Motorized Walking AT-AT

€89.99 (€119.99) 7676 - Republic Attack Gunship

€78.74 (€99.99) 7675 - AT-TE Walker

€55.49 (€74.99) 7674 - V19 Torrent

€44.99 (€59.99) 7673 - Magnaguard Starfighter

€22.49 (€29.99) 7669 - Anakin's Jedi Starfighter

€8.99 (€12.99) 7668/7667 - Rebel Scout Speeder/Imperial Dropship

Seem like great deals, though I'm not into Lego SW due to the fact it would suck up even more money.

Thanks for the heads up. The Republic Gunship is particularly good value as it beats Smyths prices and €89.99 is way below the LS@H price for most European countries, including Ireland. Pity I've already got a small fleet of them. Its also an opportune time to pick up some more battlepacks. i'm not sure how it works with Argos, i.e. if its pot luck whether you get the rebels or stormies.

Well, I went to pick up an Imperial Dropship for my brother some time back, and it was pot luck so to speak when putting in the order at the cashier - but I asked and was told that if it was the wrong one arrived at the collection desk, just to ask for the other one. In the event, this store didn't have the dropship, so I had to there and then return the rebel speeder that came through.

The second attempt, I insisted on getting the cashier to check with the back stores (fortunately this outlet was quiet at the time, no mad queue at the cashier) and it was no problem.

Rather silly that they don't have two separate catalogue entries for the two sets.

I've been waiting for the Autumn Argos discounts for a while - it seems to have become an annual thing (I hope).

I've reserved my Republic Gunship to pick up this evening, and from the website it looks like you get an extra £5 off voucher as the order is over £50, which is nice.

i think this is as a result of the 25% off sale on all Star Wars toys as it's only Star Wars Lego that is reduced ... all other Lego is full price.

According to the leaflet in the paper, it says the offer is valid until 28th Oct, so if you wanna make he most of this deal, don't delay!

(no, I do not work for Argos :P)

The only things I don't have there are the Magnaguard Starfighter and the Walking AT-AT.

I probably won't take advantage of this offer, but I will get family to buy at least the MagnaStarfighter for Christmas!
