Dr. X Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) The XR-74 'Jackrabbit' is a light fighter intended for capital ship protection and interception. Armament includes two small V8-S Laser Cannons under each wing. After seeing countless SNOTty starfighters coming out from nnenn, Gambort, and countless others, I decided to make one. Here is my attempt, called the Jackrabbit because of the sort of ear-shaped stabilizers (check the other pics for a better angle on these). It was good fun trying to get the wings slanted in line with the canopy when building it. Yes, I know the engine isn't much. I can never think of a really good idea, so I just slap on some circular things and some trans. Top view. It may not seem like it, but a minifig can squeeze in sideways. It just looks ridiculous. That's all, folks! Whaddya think? -Dr. X Edited October 20, 2008 by Dr. X Quote

Zorro Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Looks very good, Dr. X, I especialy like the shape you have given it, the "Jazz Jackrabit look", it also resembles a bit to Darkwin Duck's plane, from a Disney serie I used to watch when I was young...different color though. A job well done , I say! Quote
Legoking Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 This is a really good MOC. This reminds me of a Star Wars set, but I forgot the name. Quote
Dr. X Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 Thanks for the comments guys! And what set is it? Can you remember what it looks like? Quote
Corvus Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Knew you couldn't leave "things that go (fast)" alone for long. Grea job. The SNoT is excellent. I'm just not sure about the "swept forward" look on this small of a vehicle. It's cool, but just really ungainly. Quote

keetong Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 It actually does remind me of a rabbit. I think the colour suits it well. Quote
