Buttons Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) I am thinking of buying a wooden toy which is up for auction: Wooden lego is from the 1930's and is slightly beyond my expertees in the feild of vintage Lego. I was woundering if there were any members of Eurobricks who could enlighten me? This is the item, it does not have a Lego mark on so if anyone have documentation of this being made by Lego it would be greatly appreciated.Wooden lego Edited October 21, 2008 by Buttons Quote
Guss Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 a wooden lego Oo , do you have a picture of it ? Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Can't help you there, but do you know if it's real? It propably won't be cheap, and wood is an easy material to make stuff out off. Do you have any books or reference material to help you with this? Quote
Skelotic Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 a wooden lego Oo , do you have a picture of it ? TLC used to make wooden toys like the one pictured here: http://www.lego.com/eng/info/default.asp?page=timeline7 Later on they started making the LEGO bricks we see today. Quote

True, as you can also see on their history line, my dad used to have some wooden Lego toys, he inherited it from someone who collected them. I will ask him if he still has any and post a pic of them (if he has any, that is). Please post a pic too, Buttons, if you bought one...we're curious! Quote
Buttons Posted October 21, 2008 Author Posted October 21, 2008 Well, Captain Green Hair I am going to clarify the legoness of the item with the auctionaire and I do have a pic but I was not able to post it I will try again though. Quote
WhiteFang Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I am curious on how this ultra vintage set looks like. Buttons, if you have problem with uploading images into Eurobricks. Perhaps, you could take a look at this tutorial on posting deeplinked images via Brickshelf. Quote

Thanks for the tip whitefang, I have now posted a link to the page but th reasonI can not post it on bricklink is because I can not find a URL for the image. It is probably just my mistake but for the moment there is a link. Quote
