It's only a small store so I guess they didn't have a large allocation of stock. Looks like I'll have to do the collection by post as I've no chance of getting there during the week.

Besides that, it's something that I wouldn't be interested in getting, since the parts wouldn't be of any use disassembled from the set.

Not a lot of pieces in each but nice little models nonetheless. Importantly (IMO) they have nice City minifigs included (a copper and a builder obviously!). For the price (ie: Nowt) I am very happy with them. Features which I was particlrarly impressed with were: 4991 Police Helicopter As RobertB said this is a small helicopter but it does have neat features: Main & tail rotors Hinged opening roof Blue lights on the skis A small searchlight A loud hailer on the side of the chopper Steering wheel controls Minfig policeman with helmet and visor All this for £0.65 which is the price of the newspaper 5627 Mini Digger Full-size digger scoop the same as 7246 Mini Digger Proper Minifig seat and steering wheel Pick axe and pneumatic drill accessories included Nice orange suited builder minifig As this one came with the Sunday edition of the newspaper it was £0.95 which I think is still a great deal. I will be getting the rest of the sets that include minifigs but I'm not bothering with the other Creator style models. FYI - Early Learning Centre where I got my sets had just one box containing (estimated) 200 sets and there was a small queue outside the shop waiting for it to open both today and yesterday. superpabz Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 If you go for the mailaway option of sending seven tokens, you also have to send a cheque for £6.50 - sort of takes the "free" out of it a bit but still a good deal. In total there are 5 figures and probably a few hundred pieces - all for about £10 in total. Less if you buy the mirror anyway (or know someone who does ).

God Bless, Nathan All Smyths are participating. I picked up the Bulldozer today in Naas, Co. Kildare. However, as I picked up the paper late on Saturday when Smyths was closed I'll have to post in to get the police copter. This will be one of the 7 tokens I need to keep and then send in to get the lot for €9. In the meantime I'll use 5 of the tokens to get what I think are the best sets on the days in question. As Smyths are open til 11pm weekdays and its not a Dublin city store where demand might be an issue I should be able to manage this over the next week or so. By the way I was told that the spare sets are returned from the stores each evening so if you can't get to the store in question on the day, don't expect to pick it up the next morning. David

At first I thought it didn't look much like one but after building, i'm happy that it's a fair representation for it's small size! £0.40 for 60 bricks (3 spares) is great value for money.
