harmacy Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 This Hoth base scene was the Peoples Choice winner at last weekends Lego Show in Paraparaumu, New Zealand. Its kinda cool... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=346872 Quote
Dragonator Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Mate, it's more than "kinda cool", it's a true masterpiece! Especially those bullet holes! (Yeah I'll shut up about them now... ). Beautiful work, and an awesome effort in getting it finished. Really it is a marvel to behold, the photos just don't do it the justice it deserves. Then again, photos never do. I still think you should have kept the cow on the top of the AT-AT though... I'm looking forward to your Endor diorama for next years competition... or not. Quote
Legoman Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Its kinda cool... kinda cool? kinda cool??? It's flippin amazing! It shall be mine! Na seriously mate it's purely the bullet holes in the snow that did it for me... Just Jokes! Its stunning though, it really is.BTW congrats on winning - you deserved it! Quote
Dragonator Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Na seriously mate it's purely the bullet holes in the snow that did it for me... Just Jokes! What do you mean just jokes? I was quite proud of those bullet holes... Oh right, I said I'd stop talking about those. Sorry, I just can't get them out of my head for some reason... Quote
Legoman Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Oh no, no, they were great too, but...I just did it to hassle him in the first place. Quote
Dragonator Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 (edited) Oh no, no, they were great too, but...I just did it to hassle him in the first place. Yeah I know, I'm just messing around. Back on topic, did everyone notice the awesome lighting in the hangar and control room? I think that's cool. As is the fact that the doors close and the crane lowers. That just makes this awesome. Also, the footprints of the snowies and AT-ATs are some great details, as is that beautiful trench! EDIT: Opps, just to be clear, I was talking about the trench made by the crashed Snowspeeder, but then, the other trench is just as awesome as well! Edited October 13, 2008 by Dragonator Quote

KinGanon Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Yeah It is pretty awesome...the attention to detail is simply stunning, but I dont like how the stormtrooper body was on the snowie Quote
iH Master 13uilder17 Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 that's really neat, especially the lights, how there's a trail where a downed speeder is, and footprints of the AT-AT. Quote
