Da Death Star! Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I've noticed that some of the box pictures for sets are absolutely ridiculous.I noticed this while looking at a picture of the Hoth Rebel Base set in a TRU flyer.K-3PO is running OUT of the base, and the snowspeeder is flying so low that its scratching its belly on the 'Roof'. So have you noticed this as well? And on wich boxes? Quote
Apolloo Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 It is kind of silly but I guess they had to showcase everything that came with the set on such a small box. Quote
simonjedi Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I only have a warhammer 40k example of this, but the box of the basic space marines scouts has one of the models shooting his gun which if you "tracked" the shot then it would go through another scout. Quote
Pickerel Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Perhaps they are cramming all the vehicles to show everything in the box. It's odd LEGO would do this, I mean most of their boxes are HUGE . Odd. Quote

darkrebellion Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I agree with Pickerel they have to show everything that comes with the set so that parents and children know exactly what their paying for. Even though the boxes are huge they still have to show all of the models clearly so that again you see what you’re paying for. In your example of the Hoth Base they couldn't raise the snow speeder very high without having to "zoom out" on the model so that it would still show everything, but everything would still be significantly smaller also . I think the only exception to this is the box of the Ultimate Lightsaber Duel . The box don´t show the little hover plattform that comes with it . Quote

Is this what you're talking about? Weird! I'll have to check some other boxes and see if there are any others (Lego of course ) EDIT: The Agents Command Centre's Box is quite odd! Another case of continuity ruined by showing play value! Just imagine, those villains could just land INSIDE the WIDE OPEN truck and release Dr.Inferno easily Edited October 10, 2008 by The Rancor Quote
