SWMAN Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 (edited) So, I know a lot of people have played the game, and have either loved it or hated it. I liked the story, but the gameplay on the Wii was kind of bad. If I had it on the 360 or PS3 I might want a sequel, but with the Wii, no. What do you guys think of more of an indirect sequel? I was thinking maybe with the same style and gameplay, but different characters. Edited October 9, 2008 by SWMAN Quote
Justin2224 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I have never played the game, but I read that in the canon ending he saves the Rebels, so why not? He's never in any of the movies, so we could see if and how he dies. Quote
pr0visorak Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I kinda agree with you that the gameplay is quite bad for the wii. This game is more of a devil ma cry type of game.Wii cannot play these type pf games as they are very intense. But it is fun for your family to fight with each other with the multiplayer mode. The story line is excellent! Who knew that Vader was the one who actually indirectly started the rebellion! That was a big shock there! Quote
Faramir Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I really have to disagree on this one. Many people complain about the wii gameplay being bad... I actually think that it's definitely the most fun version. It does have that sort of "unfinished" feel to it on some levels, though, which is probably the biggest turnoff. I don't see how they would be able to make a sequel, but I'd probably buy it if they did. I'm pretty sure that they'd learn from their mistakes. Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Here is my common sensical verdict drawn from someone who hasn't even played it: 1. If there IS an ending where he survives, it isn't canon. 2. He dies. 3. Any sequel with him in it would NOT be canon. Quote
pr0visorak Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Ya,Starkiller died in the end which is canon so there cannot be a possibility that he will still live.Unless he has a clone body or something like that which he prepared so that his spirit can go inside. But I really doubt that so there is not much a possibility of starkiller coming out in a sequel. Zorro Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I played the game (wii) a few time at a friends house, and the gameplay was OK for me, off course I didn't play it for hours so maybe it was too short to notice. I would love to see a sequel, with other characters, that is... Quote
darkrebellion Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Sorry but I can´t agree that the Wii gameplay is poor or bad . I own this game for the Wii (This is not the reason why I am defending the Wii gameplay) but I also have played in the PS3 in a house of a friend. The Wii graphics are bad but the story is better in this one than the other two versions (It is more complete and the adittional levels like the Cloud City level where you fight a mandalorian leader as a boss really add a great detail) . The gameplay on the Wii is pretty good in the force powers and a little less in the lightsaber. More on topic , I think a sequel could be made but not about Starkiller . I think the sequel could be about Marris Brood and her way returning to the light side of the force . Quote
pr0visorak Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Marris Brood in the next sequel. There is a possibility that she may be in the next sequel but I might not be as eager to play as I did not really like Marris Brood but you are right in saying that there is a possibility. But I would prefer if starkiller trained someone in the force like a child with force powers as in like obi wan training luke in the ghost form. After all,Starkiller's force powers are very strong! But, as people have said before, the canon ending is that Starkiller dies at the end. I think a sequel with all new characters would make more sense. I don't think a direct sequel would be a good idea, more of a different story with the same type of gameplay. Quote

Maybe Starkiller could be revived, or someone finds a bit of his DNA to clone him, although i personnaly would prefer a different story with different characters as well. Quote

It would be great if he could be revived! But it would not make sense if a new character comes in!In the first place, not many peope have the powers as strong as starkiller! He was a shock! After playing many games, the only person we saw that could bring down a ship was yoda and he had 900 plus years of training!Starkiller was extrodinary and would be very hard to replace! It would be cool though if they can do the same for yoda like Yoda's secret apprentice!Although yoda's apprentice was count Dooku,he could have another! That I would buy! darkrebellion Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 (edited) Thinking more about the possibility of a sequel I end with a conclusion: I hope there is not sequel to the game, why? Is because the game is developed about 4-2 BBY and well a character that will only worth a year of action (In the Star Wars universe of course ) isn Edited October 11, 2008 by darkrebellion Quote
Pencoin Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 I wouldn't mind another unleashed game. It might be fun if they used the unleashedness of it onto a game where you play as a non-Jedi, that would be fun. Quote

I prefer that Lucasarts start develope a game about Boba Fetts "adventures" between the episodes IV and V . That would be great!A Boba Fett game would be sweet! But lets not go off topic with that! I wouldn't mind another unleashed game. It might be fun if they used the unleashedness of it onto a game where you play as a non-Jedi, that would be fun. When you say non-jedi.You are talking about a self-trained force guy. That is not a bad idea. But where can he train? Quote
