I Scream Clone Posted November 16, 2008 Author Posted November 16, 2008 Hi, I'm new to this website and love what you're all doing. I'd like to participate in this group building project by building a Treasury/Tax Collector/Treasure room. Do I need to join a team, or do I just post my creation? Thanks. Welcome aboard! I will put you into Team Alpha. Could you please read through the guidelines in the first post on what to build and how to standardize the castle wall etc. I will put you down for 41 on the list, Tax collector. Please post your pics in the Team Alpha thread, though you may post one in this discussion topic to link to the Alpha page. Cheers ISC Quote
CastleLord Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 (edited) Hi i am new to this site too, and i was just wondering if i could join and try to build a War Room. One more thing I Scream Clone, how am i going to build the walls in my entry since it is in the main tower on your picture of the castle? CastleLord. Edited November 17, 2008 by CastleLord Quote

CastleLord. Welcome aboard! If you would like to have a go at the war room, thats fine. It doesn't have a modular wall as you noticed, so you may build the wall in light and dark grey/bley as you see fit. Good to see you have read through the guidelines. I will place you into Team Beta, and please post your pics there. Cheers ISC Quote
Khorne Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I just wanted to say that I really like many of these creations (I especially love the carpenter )! I though this was a nice idea so I decided to build something too. Out of all ideas, the butcher seemed like the most fun one to do so I made one. I know there are already people to build the butcher's and that I didn't sign up or anything. My MOC doesn't count, I just wanted to show it to you. (Pic = link) Right now, I only have 2 pics since it's still WIP (need more slopes for roof ). Quote
Guss Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 and that's a really nice butcher ^^ I think your moc can count for the community castle! just ask ISC ^^ Quote
CastleLord Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 One more question: is it allowed to use stickers? CastleLord. Quote

You don't have to join us if you are busy, though I will definitely add your creation (when finished) to the Gallery. The butcher looks fantastic so far. The colour scheme looks quite nice, you just need the police dog from the impulse set hanging around for a spare sausage or two Let me know if you wish to join up too KhoRne. Castle Lord You may use stickers if you like, its all about detail after all. Cheers all Quote

Hey KhoRne, it's been a long time since I last saw you posting around in EB. I do hope you will have more time to hang out with us. It's very nice of you to decide and join in this one and only Castle Community Build which organised and cooperate with EB members. Oh, nice butcher moc. You should make your sign up official. I am sure ISC will take care of it. Quote
Teddy Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 wow the community build is really comming alive! Its been a short while since I last checked the website. I haven't been logged in for a while because I've been on a short holliday and afterwards I have been ill for a week. Keep up the nice work! Kind regards, Teddy Quote

Erdbeereis Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Great work as usual Thrash! Now that I'm back from vacation, I'll be able to start my courtyard. That is, after I finish my PtV entries and reviews. This is a busy LEGO month for me! Quote

I have put you into Team Alpha, please post your creation there for all of us to view. If you can create a thumbnail sized pic with a link to your pictures that would be great too. Welcome aboard! Sorry that you can't enter the PtV contest, but it's great to have you join the EBCCB. The way it works is you just choose something on the list to build (or suggest an addition to the list and build it) and then post pictures when you're finished. Just choose withever one you think you could do the nicest job with! ~Thrash Quote
I Scream Clone Posted November 29, 2008 Author Posted November 29, 2008 Welcome aboard Josh (now why didn't I choose that user name??) As Thrash said just choose something on the list you want to try. It can be anything as we accept multiples of the same entry on the list. Have a look on the map and if the structure is on the outer wall then you will need to build a wall off the specs on the first post. Cheers, cant wait to see what you come up with. Quote
Josh Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 (edited) Cool sounds good!I think I will try the brothel and the stairway lane next to it!Question can I build these two modules as one entity or do I have to make them seperately? ie can I just make it 16 x 24? Edited November 29, 2008 by Josh Quote
Erdbeereis Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I'm making some good progress now on the courtyard. I made a fountain in the center and I must say it turned out wonderfully if I do say so myself. I should have it done sometime in the next week. Quote

Sweet I will put you down for that then. Just build it one one 16 x 24 plate. Cheers ISC I'm making some good progress now on the courtyard.I made a fountain in the center and I must say it turned out wonderfully if I do say so myself. I have almost finished my hidden Orc base (take that for building the suspense ) Quote
Erdbeereis Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Here's a little WIP picture of the courtyard. I want to fill it up a bit more, but I'm not sure what to add. Let me know if you have any suggestions. ISC, I don't think I'm going to build anything for the CCCCCCCCVIIVSXS or whatever it is now. I'm not sure if I'll find the time and bricks to do it, but we'll see. Quote
Thrash Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 That looks like a great start Erdbeereis. Maybe to fill it up a bit more you could add some statues on the corners. ~Thrash Quote
I Scream Clone Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 So its just the three of us in this little ghost town at the moment I like what you have done so far Erd, perhaps you could raise it all up on green bricks or have it sunken down in the middle of the base plate with green bricks around it. Another idea is a grass and wood walled maze in the grounds. It just feels a little flat on the ground, thats all. Nice flower beds. As Thrash suggested some statues might look cool, or even a life size chess board in one section. I have started building the Barracks corner module, so far I have the exterior wall built and some ideas for the interior. As far as the CCCVVVIIII thing, Im having a go at the Tapestry section on 64 x 64 baseplates, hoping it will come out alright, fingers crossed. A Festive medieval Chrissy to all who celebrate it.
