The TI-TA TITO TRAIN...

You have succeeded in creating a very nice MOC, I like the topic of The Blue Train, and I must honestly admit, for a first attempt this looks  (x10).

I have been to Zagreb, but I didn't visit the Railway Museum, I pitty that now...

Please, keep up the good work you are doing by building this historical Train of General/President Tito !

I think it's a really nice moc for a first attempt  .. wait .. no that's a really nice moc ! not only for a first attempt ^^ I like how you used technic parts.

Guss; You haven't seen Matija's theatre, have you.

Anyway, me having seen the locomotive in motion, can tell that it's a sight to behold. Pistons and cranks moving and turning as it crawls forward. You see those two lights down at the buffers? Those light up. Really, they do. There's a couple of LEDs there that are very well "hidden", with wiring skillfully hidden away, so it really looks fantastic.

The cars will look equally fantastic, judging by the one twelveth I've seen of them.

ok captain green hair, it's a really nice moc, but why did you thought that I didn't saw it ?

Because you said:

no.. why ?

Savvy?

Choo Choo! Very nice MOC Guss! Can't wait to see more!

Err...Matija has build this dude...

Guss, the way you expressed yourself, at least I got the impression that you thought this was Matijas first MOC. That theatre is an earlier MOC of his, and then there's IFI, which is also at his MOCPages.

Thanks guys :)

I've now put more pics into the gallery (including the first 2 cars and working lights... the choo-chooing will have to wait until I get a decent camera and another sunny day :sceptic: ).

P.S. To Lt. Col. Thok - not my first train ever, only first steam   The other ones can be found here.

freddie , maybe it gave you the impression that I thought it was his first attemps... MAYBE because It was Matijas FIRST ATTEMPT "at doing a steam engine" ^^

Ah. My mistake then.

I'm hoping I'll get a good look at those cars at next meeting (or event), I'm curious at how they handle sharp corners, and if they'll decouple or not. Nonetheless, they look sweet.

oh, and sorry for the majs, I didn't want to shout at you^^ I just wanted to notice that I said it because of it, but it's right that what I wrote ( I read it again ) can be interpreted as you did, I think we'll have to blame my low english skills for that :classic: sorry

quick edit : I just watched again Matija's theatre, and I wanted to say that the "comparative" pictures with the real one are really nice ^^ it's really an amazing moc !

Having seen this train close up in person (and touched it... Matija told me to!), I must say that I'm extremely impressed by the details, and that you managed to add electrics. The golden plates look even better/more realistic than the pictures suggest!

I will make a thread with the videos (with both the little yellow building and the train) when I get the time to edit them and upload them to youtube.

That's a very fine steam engine you have created! I had a look at your MOC-pages. Your passenger cars also look great. They are incredibly long! Don't you experience problems with them in curves? The steam engine has no motor, has it? I just saw one integrated into a waggon. What I really like are the red end lights of the waggon. Extremely nice electric detail!

By the way, the theatre you once built looks absolutely amazing!:wub::wub: You don't know how many pieces you had to use for it?

Thanks :) The passenger cars work fine in normal curves, but I do experience problems in short S-curves and switches (the tender in its current state also has problems, so I'll consider just avoiding such curves). It is correct that the motors are underneath passenger cars (2 of them), not the engine.

As for the theatre, I think the total number of pieces lies around 35000-40000.

It's a great train (though I have never heard of the 'famous blue train'....), I also like how you put it in a museum setting , fenced off with spectators.

This is a great MOC, I love all the details You managed to put on it. The gold and silver parts look really good both on the loco and cars too.
