Sammael Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 LEGO is quite expensive here in Serbia, but I have a good friend who frequently travels to Romania on business, so I was wondering how do the prices in Romanian toy stores compare to the ones in S&H? Any recommendations for good toy stores in Bucharest and/or Timisoara? Quote
Olog Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Hi there! I'm from Romania, but unfortunately I'm from the north, from Cluj. From what I know LEGO can be found in Bucharest in shopping centers such as Carrefour or Cora. There's a toy shop chain around Romania, called Dino Land. These can usually be found in shopping malls but the prices aren't the fairest. Usually Lego costs double the price of US, licensed sets can even cost more, while creator sets can cost less than double. Your (or your friend's) best chance to buy Lego at comfortable prices is from shopping centers, they might not have the largest array of sets, but the prices are usually fair (they even have discounts sometimes, I bought the monster Dino set for 40$ here, while it costs 80$ in the US). Alternatively, if your friend has time to wait three days for a shipment, there's the largest LEGO importer called Varuna ( Here's the link ) and they have some alright prices too. I hope this helped, and I'm glad there are more fans from Eastern EU. -Adrian Quote
Sammael Posted October 3, 2008 Author Posted October 3, 2008 Hi Adrian! Thank you very much for the detailed reply - I'll pass this information to my friend and ask him to check the shopping centres. I think he usually stays in Romania for a week or so, so Varuna may also be an option. Quote
