Erdbeereis Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Hello! Here is the Temple of the black treasure. Will Johnny and Dr. Kilroy be able to make off with the treasure before the two get stung by snakes and scorpions? The Treasure. Flickr Page Thanks! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 That's a very nice MOC, Erdbeereis1! I really like the architecture with this special roof - looks a bit Asian. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter Quote
JimBee Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Nice little MOC, Erdbeereis. I really like the roof, very innovative. I also like the very clear and sharp pics you've taken, they make the MOC a pleasure to look at. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Great temple Erdbeereis1! the roof looks cool. Nice suspense to the MOC too. If this was a review I would give the photo's a Keep up the good work Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Interesting concept! It gives me a mixture of oriential feeling and egyptian touch as well. I am surprised that both elements blended in well. This is a very nice and simple moc which demostrate the creativity of LEGO. Is there a black treasure box ever released before? I don't remembered seeing it at all. Quote
Erdbeereis Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 Is there a black treasure box ever released before? I don't remembered seeing it at all. Yep! List of sets with a treasure chest. Black is on top. Quote
ptdapen Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Oh I haven't seen or thought of Johnny Thunder for so long! I have about two sets, and they were very cool. I like it a lot, but may I suggest you have more dangers lying around? Perhaps you can have the classic bolder that drops when you take the treasure! Quote
Athos Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 I think the roof would look better if it overhung the walls by a stud. I'm not sure I like the red either. Its too blindingly bright, at least in the pictures. Steve Quote

Steve I agree about the red, and I wonder if you would be better of using flat plates (tiles) i could be wrong though. it is a very beautifull looking MOC anyhows, with enough details and realism.
