Guss Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Hi , I did a little vignette last week , It didn't turn as I wanted to but I like it anyway. here it is ^^ Quote
Admiral Blockbeard Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Nice little creation, it is the first time i have seen that blue tool! I have a different Lego spanner. Is it Lego? What set did it come in? I like the painting idea, I recently met a car panel painter, interesting job! What was the inspiration? Regards Cpt. PB Quote
Guss Posted September 15, 2008 Author Posted September 15, 2008 (edited) Nice little creation, it is the first time i have seen that blue tool! thank you ^^ for this little tool, I got it in an old set, recently I had the chance to get 114 old lego set for free, this Blue tool come from one of these old sets, I'll try to figure it out, I'll add a post when I find ! What was the inspiration? the inspiration was my memory, My father owned a motorcycle shop when I was young, and I clearly remember seeing this kind of scene. Edited September 15, 2008 by Guss Quote
I Scream Clone Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 What a great little scene! Dont be too dissapointed, I think it really captures the story of the Mechanic working on the bike with his toolbox/welder thing in the garage. Great SNOT too Quote
Guss Posted September 15, 2008 Author Posted September 15, 2008 (edited) thanks a lot I Scream Clone^^ I looked in all my manuals and didn't find this blue tool, but I got it with the legos I recovered, so... maybe it's not a lego tool I don't know, I thought it was lego because it was on the same box but maybe it's not. EDIT : My girlfriend said that maybe it's a Fabuland tool, maybe this one : http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=3666-1 Edited September 15, 2008 by Guss Quote

Captain Green Hair Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Nice scene guss! Being a bike fan myself i love this stuff, the lamps and toolcart are very inventive too! Quote

I'm really happy that is a lego set , I didn't use something that is not lego , pffiou thanks captain green hair , I tried to makes some " industrial looking " lamps.^^ Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 That's a great MOC, Guss! I really it! The garage is perfectly built - and the details with the good old motorcycle, the ceiling lights and this little car for the tools are simply . Very well done! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Guss Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 thanks a lot for your kind words Klaus-Dieter, It makes me want to build more little scene like this one. I like my little tool-car too, I like it so much I couldn't destroy it , it stand just between to the chariot I presented on the castle section and the boat on the pirate section ^^ and for the Good old motorcycle, not only that I wanted to use an old one, but anyway I don't have the new one^^ Quote
Axle Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 It's nice, you should complete the building, this bin lid is good as a light, with a 1x1 trans something underneath :http://brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=5611-1 Quote
Guss Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 thanks for your comment and for you bin lid Idea, that's a good Idea ! sadly I destroyed my little garage, but I thought about doing a big garage since I have a lot of motorcycles and a trike, maybe later^^ I'll post it if I do it anyway! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 and for the Good old motorcycle, not only that I wanted to use an old one, but anyway I don't have the new one^^ That wasn't meant insulting, Guss. In contrary - I like the old motorcycles very much. And in opposition to the new police motorcycles I must say that I really prefer the old ones over the new ones. Btw: Since you perhaps plan to build a new big garage: What about adding an awesome garage like this one to a little motorcycle shop? Klaus-Dieter Quote
Guss Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 That wasn't meant insulting, Guss. default_satisfied.gif Yep I know, I just wanted to notice that I used it because I like it too ^^ not because I felt insulted ^^ What about adding an awesome garage like this one to a little motorcycle shop? I was planning to build a big garage with a shop and maybe a little street with a truck holding motorbikes, like if it was delivering the bikes to the shop ^^ Quote
Eilif Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 (edited) That's a great little vignette you have there. Nice use of yellow. It's be neat to see it built as an interior of a MOC. As for the blue pipe wrench (USA terminology) tool you have there, hold on to it. In grey, it is available in a number of sets, one of which is the set that was mentioned earlier in this thread. However, in blue, it only came in one set, the lengthily titled 3626 "Roger Raccoon with his sports car, oil can and wrench" Edited September 17, 2008 by Eilif Quote
Guss Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 (edited) Hey Eilif I have to thanks you twice ^^ 1/ for your kind words 2/ because you found the set in wich one there is this tool ! don't worry I'll not throw it away, It's in my little accessory box ^^ Edited September 17, 2008 by Guss Quote
