epmlspotter Posted February 10 Posted February 10 (edited) Hello, I have a question about running 12V motors. Are rubber wheel covers necessary? I received a large set from a friend who said it didn't work :) I have two trolleys, unfortunately, without rubber covers. If I touch just the middle rail, the motor engages, but when I place it on the complete track, it unfortunately won't move – even without any load. I don't know what the problem is. Or maybe the contacts are too short...? https://files.fm/u/fybvgj9yb8 https://youtu.be/4b2ceW09beA Maybe you have some tips? Best regards Edited February 11 by epmlspotter Quote
JopieK Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Welcome to Eurobricks and Train Tech @epmlspotter. Wow you found a great treasure! Just maybe the internal gears are broken, that does seem to happen more often. I don't think it is a short because it runs well without the load on the wheels. epmlspotter Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 Thank you for the tip... Could it be a matter of a dirty track? Quote
XG BC Posted February 11 Posted February 11 does the motor itself run? does it make noise? do the wheels spin? that would narrow it down more whats actually wrong. Quote

JopieK Posted Thursday at 07:54 PM Posted Thursday at 07:54 PM @epmlspotter use ispropyl alcohol (or something like it) to clean the contacts and the track. If that is not it again, check the @Reker1000000 videos. Quote
