Hello,

I have a question about running 12V motors.
Are rubber wheel covers necessary?
I received a large set from a friend who said it didn't work :)
I have two trolleys, unfortunately, without rubber covers. If I touch just the middle rail, the motor engages, but when I place it on the complete track, it unfortunately won't move – even without any load.
I don't know what the problem is.
Or maybe the contacts are too short...?

Maybe you have some tips?

Best regards

Welcome to Eurobricks and Train Tech @epmlspotter. Wow you found a great treasure! Just maybe the internal gears are broken, that does seem to happen more often. I don't think it is a short because it runs well without the load on the wheels.

does the motor itself run? does it make noise? do the wheels spin? that would narrow it down more whats actually wrong.
