Konajra Posted February 5 Posted February 5 (edited) Hi everyone! With the Fan Vote for BDP Series 10 starting in just 4 days (February 9th), I’d like to share my latest project: a Classic Sparkplug Lighthouse. The main challenge was creating a realistic, tapering octagonal tower. I used a mix of "Pythagorean triples" (6-8-10 and 3-4-5) to ensure the angles are exactly 45 degrees, while maintaining a sturdy connection. The walls are mounted on unsing round plate to create that iconic octagonal look. I’ve made a short video to show the lighthouse in action, including the interior details and the rotation mechanism: I would love to hear your thoughts on the construction! If you like what you see, please consider supporting it during the Fan Vote starting February 9th. Thanks for looking! Edited February 5 by Konajra Quote
LightningInc Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I really like your lighthouse Konjara! It certainly gets my vote and if approved I will buy it. I also liked your 'Bob's Old Tugboat' as an Ideas submission. Too bad it was rejected. Is there any chance of purchasing the instructions for that one? Quote
Konajra Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 Thank you so much! It’s great to hear the Lighthouse is a 'must-buy' for you – that really means a lot with the voting opening soon! Regarding Bob's Old Tugboat: I’m really glad you liked that one! However, because it was a LEGO Ideas submission, I am legally restricted from sharing or selling the instructions for a few years due to the exclusivity agreement. So for now, my focus is entirely on the BDP projects like the Lighthouse and my upcoming entries. Thanks again for the support! Quote
