Hi Eurobricks! This is my first post, so I hope it’s in the right subforum. I’m hoping some of you might be able to give me a bit of advice.

About the build

I’m working on a MOC of the building “Isbjerget” in Aarhus. It’s a very distinctive building with lots of sharp angles, which makes it quite challenging for me, especially since I’m not a very experienced builder.

The scale is roughly 1:625, and so far I’ve built the first outer section with the two M-shaped peaks. Given the very limited space, I’m quite happy with how that part turned out.

The problem

I’m trying to be as accurate as possible, but I’m struggling with the roof on the corner section of the outer layer of the building.

The roof consists of two sections that meet at a right angle. On the front / inner corner, the roof slopes come together and create a small inner “dip” or channel near the top. On the back side, however, the roof stays flush with the walls, so this dip only appears where the two building sections meet.

At this scale, I’m struggling to find any building techniques that can recreate this shape while still working well with the rest of the build.

Size constraints

The area I’m working with (marked in red on the image below) is:

  • 3×5 studs and 3×2 studs
  • 6 bricks high

If I split the roof section into two parts (marked in yellow):

  • The lower part would ideally be 3 bricks high
  • The upper part would also be 3 bricks high

Here’s an image of my current build, with the roof section I’m referring to outlined:

Along with the MOC itself, here are a few reference images of the real roof, taken from Google Earth:

Lastly, here are a few techniques I’ve experimented with. None of them quite worked, but these are still the best three attempts - so feel free not to worry about the ones that didn’t make the cut 😅

Any ideas, techniques, or references would be hugely appreciated!
