Auroralampinen Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) Hi, this is my third lego review. And my first city set in a decade, I'm really excited to build this:). Specs Model name, Cement Mixer. Set number, 60478. Price, 44.95€. What I paid: 34.99€. Pieces, 371. No stickers, all prints plus new drum pieces:). Where did I get this set this early? :). Tokmanni seppälänkangas in Jyväskylä:). (Post script... I bought this set 29.12.2025 and scripted this review on that date:). The box:). The model box is a square, with nice artwork:). Inside of the box:). The box is about 90% full:). Bags:). Inside you will find 3 numbered bags, instructions and loose drum pieces:). Instructions:). First pages of the book:). Last pages of the book:). New pieces, unique pieces and prints:). Building process:). Bag 1. Bag 2. Bag 3. Spare parts:). Minifigures:). Minifigures in the cabin:). Minifigures next to my favorite figures the pantasy figures:). (I'm sorry to crush your childhood Minifigure love. I have been a technic builder. And I have not grown any connections with lego figures. And I personally prefer the pantasy figures they have truly grown on me:).). Interesting building solutions and tricks:). The drum mount is really clever. It's held by a pneumatic piece by clips. And on the other end it's held by those claws and its really strong connection:). These side panels are cleverly secured in place:). Side builds:). Inside and outside details:). Functions:). The drum can be rotated:). Be carefull it can shoot the Cement Studs into air;). The rear shoot can be adjusted:). Opening cab to reveal the engine for maitenance:). Final note:). Pros:). The 2026 Cement Mixer is a great set with cool new pieces and a price tag which is reasonable. The Playability is great and good for the age demographic plus the extra studs for the cement cargo and sidebuilds are a nice touch:). Negatives:(. The Cement mixer while being really cool shows us one disappointing thing. This should be a technic branded set. Because the technic lineup doesn't have any cool construction machinery in the smaller category and technic is slowly turning into a racers theme. It's really disappointing to get only 60€ car sets in the technic world and not any around 40€ affordable construction machinery like this one:(. The other negative might be a nitpick. But I have reviewed a ton of pantasy sets and they had edge to edge printing. Why the most profitable and expensive toy company cannot print edge to edge. While competitors can do it with cheaper set prices. Especially the warning prints desperately needs an edge to edge printing:/. Here is a few Pantasy edge to edge printed pieces. Compared to the slop printed pieces from the "Only Best Is Good Enought" company and no difference in print quality. Only difference is price. Pantasy is cheaper and does include a lot of nice shiny gold and silver pieces in some of their sets which gives a really premium feel to the product plus good quality electronic system(BAS=Brick Alive System) on some sets which is created in house and doesn't need batteries and smartphone controls because it's usb c powered with in some complex sets additional buttons switches and control boxes:). And some Pantasy BAS sets includes a sound brick which makes different sounds via electronic control boxes with press of the button. While other "Only The Best Is Good Enought" company does brag about the yearly massive profit increases and raises the prices. While not innovating and improving on the printing technology or anything basically:). (A little note. I can be a little bit biased towards pantasy. But they have truly amazed me every way. Customer support is lego level. And they do lissen my harsh critisisim of some stuff what definetly needs improvements. And they have a Facebook group. And i do make on the facebook group sometimes harsh critizim for some stuff what needs fixing and improving. And they do respond pretty quickly, politely and nicely without any fear of me being silenced. Pantasy has winned my trust and i do support them:).). If you interest peaked for pantasy here is my western mine set review. And that set is electronic and GBC set:). And here is their facebook group:). https://www.facebook.com/groups/pantasybricks/?ref=share The last negative is the color vomit. Yes, i know this is a child product. But does this really need all the colors of the rainbow. Or did a unicorn break in the offices and let loose the colors;). Pros and cons:). +Looks +Pieces +Playability +Figures +Value +/- Prints -Color vomit -Off center steering wheel Final verdict:). Functions 5/5 Value 4.5/5 Print quality 4/5 Figures 4/5 Looks 5/5 Instructions 5/5 Building experience 4.5/5 Edited January 1 by Auroralampinen Quote
