Free instructions on Rebrickable

Minifigure-scale STAP in Trade Federation colors (CIS is still missing a recolor in blue to make work) is now ready to be manufactured to let your B1 droids fly across the battlefield!

Using the back of the droid as the stand connection allows the STAP to be angled and can be used to pose it in dynamic flight such as during banking turns.

Thanks to Artizan for inspiration of using parts 15070 and 11089!

Wow, this is great! If I may make one suggestion, could the handlebars be moved further back with a claw? Right now it looks like Roger is banging his chin on the top...!

Either way, fantastic build. I'm amazed you crammed all those curves in such a small space.

Thank you! I thought about that actually, if you mean using "3484/48729 Bar 1L with Clip", it doesn't quite fit in place, but "5264 Plate Round 1 x 1 with Hollow Stud and Underside Clip" works to extend the handle bars more out. It ends up being a bit of a trade-off, with the upside being the droid further away but sits a bit lower so has worse sightline over the top of the STAP.  I should include it in the instructions as a variant.

I was thinking of the former yes, but only because I forgot about 5264! It's true that these things are often all about compromises...
