Hello All,

So I've looked around and dont seem to find any answers on this so figured, if there is an answer, some one here might have it.

I was fortunate enough in my youth to get my hands on the beauty that is the Imperial Star Destroyer when it first came out (and didn't cost an arm and a leg). The set has gone from being in display to storage, back in display and back to storage for the past two decades and now after a long stint in storage, and with a remodeled office, the box is back out of storage ready to be assembled. The issue I'm finding is displaying this monstrosity in the limited space I have and taking into account the challenges of displaying this set at any other angle than the one the designers intended, plain flat.

What I've found are display options for the MK2 version of the star destroyer but all of them that i've found make it clear it is not compatible with the 10030. Right now this question is the one preventing me from starting the build but there's others that are of concern although i think there's solutions for them, if anyone can confirm.

  • frame sagging after long term display
    • move front leg to docking bay (flat display solution)
    • add additional support brackets connecting the two frames
  • bottom "shells" falling
    • possibly replacing the magnets on the with stronger ones
    • modding a more rigid stud connection, havent looked too much into this one
  • tilting the whole set
    • no idea how to do and havent found any solutions

I'm hoping if there's anyone that has figured this out someone here might know of it.

Thanks!
