Matn Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I would like to present my little town, called Floortown. The name is obvious, it's a town build on the floor. In the end of August I bought a green carpet to put on my floor and to build a town on it. At first I would combine MOC's and sets, but I have chosen to use only sets. And then I had to choose between: only normal sets, or only Modular Buildings, or a combination of the two. After a while I chose the third option. Floortown was born! Thanks to a member of Lowlug I got some old roadplates, so I putted away the new ones and combined the old roadplates with the ones I already had. The route was born. At the moment there is a graveyard, the Train Engine Shed, two train stations, the beatiful restaurant set, the Café Corner and some greenery. Currently I am building up my City and Town sets, to place them in Floortown. The next sets I will get, are: Green Grocer, Market Street and Town Plan (though, I don't know which first). It isn't so big, but I like it how it is: I am planning to make a website for the town with 'local news' and comics, and to make twinning possible. Now, I would love to read your comments and tips! LegoFranks Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Looks cool so far! You're lucky to have such floorspace! I have to keep mine on a shelf (Hence the name Shelf City... http://www.flickr.com/photos/16575376@N07/2825701577/) to keep it out of reach of my 20 month old daughter who's fascinated by Lego! M. Matn Posted September 9, 2008 Author Posted September 9, 2008 Thanks for the nice reactions. For the moment I am not thinking of selling or trading my new bley roadplates, they could come handy in the future. And I think Shelf City is very nice, you have some great buildings there. Great use of the space. I don't have something new to present in Floortown because I am still building up my older sets. Quote
Eilif Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Looks like you're off to a good start. Keep it up! Quote
