As soon as the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium invaded the agricultural Imperial world of Kammia, Mon Mothma immediately expressed readiness to send the New Republic Starfleet to assist defending Imperial forces.

For the pilots serving under the ambitious Commissar Rax, Thrawn's immediate acceptance of New Republic's help came as little surprise - everyone knew Thrawn as a pragmatic leader, and the situation went out of Imperial control. But Rax's enthusiastic demeanor towards the upcoming collaboration shocked even those aware of the Commissar's fanatic loyalty to the Grand Admiral - after all, Rax furiously hated the self-proclaimed rebel state.

- As the late Emperor Palpatine once pointed out, - Rax explained, - accepting help from our direct enemies is not against the Imperial way, if absolutely essential to our Empire's survival. From this moment on, any anti-Rebel propaganda should be postponed indefinitely.

- How are we supposed to collaborate with those Rebel scum? - the reinforcement pilots asked their leader before embarking on a journey to Kammia.

- Just keep yourselves as friendly towards them as possible, okay? And of course, don't discuss any politics with them. In fact, consider this collaboration as "friendly competition"! Show Rebel pilots that TIE interceptors are superior to anything they fly...

...

The Ssi-Ruu deployed thousands of Swarm-class space droids around Kammia in order to prevent any landing parties to assist the local Imperial garrison.

Thrawn quickly came up with a plan, approved by New Republic Starfleet admirals. While TIE Interceptors engaged the droids in dogfights (thanks to their superior maneuverability), New Republic A-wings employed the 'hit & run' tactic against the latter (due to their superior speed).

In the end of the operation, pilots on both sides executed Thrawn's plan flawlessly, successfully destroying all enemy droids. By then not only they put their political differences aside, but, most surprisingly, neither side cared whose starfighters were better. Upon learning this, Commissar Rax laughed so hard that the entire Galactic Empire crew felt that this was indeed a glorious day!

Please note, that the model was assembled in frantic hurry, has imperfections and is yet to be finished. However, due to limited time, I had to rush it into flight! :pir-yoda:

That is an amazing A-Wing! And I love your Ssi-Ruuk droid ships. For judging purposes, are the TIE Interceptors a new MOC?

Thank you so much! No, the TIE interceptor isn't new - I only used it as a background model for the overall atmosphere and feel, since it's appropriate
