Dutch Thriceman Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) The two men strolled through the labyrinthian streets and alleyways of Nevalle, Tiberio flanked by his Second, an elderly gentleman and true Mardierian by the name of Aldemir. Aldemir wore plain but solid lamellar armor and with a guige rested a kite shield on his back, proudly brandishing the Wyvern's Talon sigil and name sake, as well as a longsword. They approached an ornate cast iron gate, it was the entrance to the cities Vandymion stronghold, although their main estate was a ways outside of the city it was here one would come to do business and it was business that Tiberio hoped to do, despite his history. As the House Guard noticed Tiberio and his companion he scoffed; "well well if it isn't the deserter and one of his dogs"... it wasn't Tibero's pup the guard was referring to but before Tiberio or luckily Aldemir (Aldemir's hand already motioning towards his blade) had a chance to respond the gate creaked open as a woman in ornate crimson and decorated with gaudy jewelry came out. It was Bianca Vandymion, the youngest daughter of house Vandymion and the one who took Tiberio in all those years ago, Tiberio was sure of it. This might turn out alright after all. Her expression was soft and friendly, it was but a veneer behind which the true cold and calculating personality of a Vandymion hides. "My if it isn't Tibs, my attendant notified me when she saw you approaching. What in the fiery blazes are you doing back here!" Tiberio wasn't so sure of that himself, the truth was, he was desperate. With Wyvern's Talon reputation in the gutter and their coffers empty they needed good paying work and they needed it fast, even better if they could rebuild their reputation while getting paid. He put everything in on this one last bet, hoping that there was perhaps some other reason that girl took him out of the ditch that long time ago, Tiberio hoped that perhaps she had feelings for him, perhaps it was some other reason, but now he hoped he could still exploit that vulnerability that she once showed. He smiled sheepishly and got straight to the point, after all these years that was all he could think to do; "looking for work, heard there is a lot of trouble on the road these days, what with the deserters and veterans turned highwaymen and bandits" Bianca contemplated a moment before responding; "Yes, that's true, the scoundrels have been getting more and more brazen as of late, seems something is stirring. Heard Wyvern's Talon was no more though, heard they disbanded." "Not all of us." Tiberio quickly interjected, waiting for Bianca's reply. She did not wait long to respond; "You're really lucky father isn't here you know, if he wasn't back in the estate right now there would be mighty hell to pay, not sure he'll be all too pleased if he found out I hired you lot either." "Does that mean we got the job?" Tiberio smiled. Bianca smiled back, Tiberio thought this time it might even be genuine though he could not say for sure. She replied "Yeah well, we could really use some more armed escorts on these shipments that were ment to have left the city already two moons ago! Let's discuss the details inside, and then I'll have to deal with father later." "Excellent mydame, Aldemir tell the men to prepare for travel." To be continued. ___ My first vig for BOBS:TOO I hope it's up to standard, as well as the writing, as a non-native English speaker and somebody who hardly ever writes anything down, other then reports at work haha, I kinda always struggle with this stuff. Khorne Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago That's a lot of stuff packed on a relatively small footprint, yet it still feels "airy" enough. Well done; it is definitely up to standard! I like the inclusion of the small green shutters on the side. The bird's nest is a nice touch as well. I also have a bunch of those brown flowers and didn't really know what to do with them, so the usage as a nest here is a good example. Plenty of fun textures and figures throughout. Story was good, too. A nice introduction of what's to come. Don't worry about the English, I'm not a native speaker myself and there are plenty of others of whom English also isn't their mother tongue. Quote
Ross Fisher Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I am a native speaker and it all seemed fine to me! Great build, nice story. Looking forward to seeing where this goes! Quote

Thanks to be honest it's actually used in a birds nest in new Lego City sets! (I think that's also where the part was actually introduced in brown). 26 minutes ago, Ross Fisher said: I am a native speaker and it all seemed fine to me! Great build, nice story.
