I've been playing about this afternoon with LDD trying to recreate some 1980s/1990s Town sets. I've had better success with some than others (lack of car bases and car roofs proving an issue!). One set that required neither of these was the 379 Bus Station. This was my first Lego set and I still have it. I don't think that this LDD model is a bad likeness. Cost through Factory would be £32 - Very tempting!

I have done some sympathetic upgrades of some parts (minifigs, minifig seats, front lights and grille on the bus, etc). What do you think?

Nice job, only the choice of your baseplate is unlucky chosen. I would choose the regular roadplate which is in stores. Beside the basplate, I like all details you've changed  .

I have tried to build precisly the same according the instruction in green:

very nice busstation indeed.

to go further on Jacob's comments: it will become a lot more expensive, but you could also build the entire road from tiles!

(b.t.w. Jacob, dust the roof of your levelcrossing :) greets Johan).

Very good job, rriggs!

The set you designed in LDD looks nearly like the real one! :oh:

In the beginning when I tried to use LDD I sometimes thought that its brick assortment is very limited. It's in fact - mainly when you need some special bricks or minifigs - but nevertheless you can design some very nice MOCs with it. I personally tried, too, and I think that my LDD MOCs until now, Modern Twin House, Main Street and Side Street and some Wild West MOCs you can see in my signature, are for the possibilities LDD offers not bad.

Very well done!

I was limited by the fact that the only baseplate available currently in LDD is a dark grey studded plate. Originally, I built it just on the baseplate but then decided to recreate the road plate as best as possible - and still keep the price reasonable hence the reason for not tiling everything!

If I did order it, I have enough spare straight road plates to be able to give it the justice it deserves!

Just need to drop hints to the wife now for my birthday later this month... :classic:
