Brick n Brick Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 (edited) Caution! Image heavy! Here's some pics of my latest and first half decent MOC. Enjoy! The first picture is a general overview of the "scene". I really enjoyed using the river baseplate, as iy seems semi-rare (still trying to find a few more on ebay). This is an abandoned bridge and military outpost (note the "ruins"). I added the marker buoy in the water as an extra touch. The second photo is a general shot of the bridge. A slanted bird's eye view of the dilapidated structure. Next, we have a shot of one of the "ruined" buildings. Notice the frying pan . Again, a shot of a ruin. This is the storage area. Whats that spilling from the barrel? Next, we have a shot from the back. Now, the last picture, a shot of the bridge. I had some fun building it. ------------------------ Thanks for looking. Comments are welcome! Edited August 31, 2008 by Brick n Brick Quote
JimBee Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 It's a great MOC, but please shrink the pics. The use of all of those brown pieces is great, as well as the baseplate. I like the ruined storage area. Quote
Brick n Brick Posted August 31, 2008 Author Posted August 31, 2008 Ok. Will do (still too big when resized automatically on the forum?) Thanks for the comments, Jim! Quote
JimBee Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Ok. Will do (still too big when resized automatically on the forum?)Thanks for the comments, Jim! No, I mean they are originally to big, so they take a long time to load and re-size, especially for members with older computers. It would be great if you would resize these, or retake pics with your camera set on "VGB" for a smaller pic. Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 g00d, g00d! very realistic ruins! reddish brown and old brown makes good wood look. Quote
Asuka Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 A nice scenery indeed, especially that rotted bridge looks really charming. Quote
MightyMegs Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Awesome! But it just isn't Indy, unless he's being chased! Quote
NewRight Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 I like some aspects of this MOC including some of the detail, but I felt like the water had so many more possibilities than just a baseplate. Of course I don't know how many bricks you have. Quote
Brick n Brick Posted August 31, 2008 Author Posted August 31, 2008 (edited) Awesome! But it just isn't Indy, unless he's being chased! Thanks, but I didn't base this off any scene in an Ibdy movie or anything. Just a random MOC, with a touch of Indiana Jones. Thanks for the comments! Edited August 31, 2008 by Brick n Brick Quote
Johnny 5 Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 I like it. It has a good ruined bridge look, which i assume you were going for here. Good job, keep it up. Quote
Brick n Brick Posted August 31, 2008 Author Posted August 31, 2008 Thanks. And yes, I was going for the ruined bridge look. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Very nicely done; I personally don't have much trouble with the oversize pics (fast computer)l; but, all the same, please resize them. Quote
Brick n Brick Posted September 1, 2008 Author Posted September 1, 2008 Alrighty. Any recomended size? Quote
JimBee Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Alrighty. Any recomended size? As I said before, 640x480/ VGA size. The setting should be on your camera. Quote
Brick n Brick Posted September 2, 2008 Author Posted September 2, 2008 Alright. I have to go out this afternoon, so I'll resize tem when I return. Quote
Millacol88 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 It looks good. It seems you've resized the pics as well. I like the look of the whole ruined bridge! Quote
