[MOC] Old West Carriage

I've been on a bit of a Western kick lately, and horse-drawn carriages are ubiquitous in the genre. The stagecoach in The Hateful Eight, the cart that Averill gives Ella Watson in Heaven's Gate, Christoph Waltz's dentist carriage in Django Unchained, etc. etc.

We've got ourselves a high-class carriage here. I guess it's from a period a bit before There Will Be Blood. Who's the lady? Does she own a stake in the local gold mine? Is she an out-of-towner? Does she, like Ella Watson, run the local bordello? Who knows. As for the driver, I was going for a middle-aged Kurt Russell vibe. Not sure I've pulled it off.

Technically, the only thing it's got going for it is the studs-pointing-frickin-everywhere in the body of the carriage. Oh, and it's articulated. Technically.

That's a very smooth build. I like how you have an odd width of the carriage, makes the overall dimensions feel just right.

Thank you @GeoBrick for the compliment! It's hardly my idea really - I think all the best LEGO cars and trains out there are 7-wide or even even larger (odd numbers only!), and if you squint the wheels make this carriage 7-wide also.

There's something magical about this build that makes complex shapes smooth and simple...amazing MOC!

I hope this cutout view helps somewhat - there's no interior as such as all the space is given over to laminating plates together to achieve the SNOT in the 5-wide geometry.
