Midi-scale Venator-class Star Destroyer

After building my Cantwell-class Arrestor Cruiser, I wanted to build more capital ships in the same scale. This Venator measures 33cm long, 16cm wide and 14cm high on the stand, requiring 686 parts to build for the Republic version and 664 parts for the Imperial version. Here are my 2 ships next to each other!

The Open Circle Fleet insignias on my model are hand painted with a stencil, I didn't want to spend a lot for shipping. The model still looks good without the insignias though.

I also made an Imperial version of the Venator, with some appearances in The Bad Batch when it destroyed Tipoca City on Kamino. I've seen versions with dark grey instead of fully light grey, but the latter is more accurate to the show.

Very nice! Look like they'd fit right in with the starship collection ships.

 

I always get a kick out of the empire greyscaling all the republic ships, like, immediately after order 66. I just love the idea of palpatine issuing some edict like "troopers, you gotta scrape all this red paint off, I never liked it, we're going monochrome grey. Effective immediately."

Very nice! What scale is it approximately? Looks like it wouldn't be too far off the Invisible Hand set?

1:3400, the Invisible Hand set is 2cm too short while the Acclamator set is 3cm too long.
