Bob Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Pirates Mafia V: Day Three - Walk the Plank! James Hammond stood, condemned. "Arrr, James. You've been chosen to walk the plank!" Redbeard said. "Indeed, such is fate. Farewell, all, I shall see you in the next game...of life." James Hammond (Trekkie99) was a Traitor! The next morning, Duncan Gage was found dead. His parrot flew to Redbeard. "Sqwawk! Dead men tell no tales!" the bird said. "Arrr, our good work yesterday has been scuppered today. Duncan Gage was a Loyal Pirate!" "When is someone going to clean up all this cat hair?" someone asked. --- Players (3): Michael "Navigator" Cassidy -- KotZ Percy "Quick-Shot" Neville -- Classic Spaceman Paul "Eagle" Prescott -- Duvors Deceased (3): Robert "Cannonball" Blake -- Tariq j (Loyal Pirate) James "One-Leg" Hammond -- Trekkie99 (Traitor) Duncan "Parrot-Keeper" Gage - Def (Loyal Pirate) Rules: 1) You are either a Loyal Pirate or a Traitor. The town needs to eliminate the mafia and the mafia needs to outnumber the town. In the hopefully unlikely event of a one to one parity, the mafia will likely win. There are no third parties in this game. 2) A game day will last 72 hours. You may vote after 24 hours. Even if a majority vote is achieved, the day will not end early. Nights will last at most 48 hours, during which you can send in your night actions to the host. Do not talk about the game outside of the threads. 3) Private communication is not permitted during the day time, even by the scum. Any private communications must be done at night time only. They may begin when the day has concluded and must cease when the next day's thread is up. 4) Each day you can vote to lynch a player. Voting is mandatory. It should be done in this fashion: Vote: Character (Player) Unvote: Character (Player) Ensure your vote is in bold so I don't miss it please! 5) When a player dies, they are able to use a one-time only ghost vote by posting in the thread. They can say nothing else when they vote and are not allowed to unvote. 6) The alignment of players who have been lynched, as well as those who may have died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day. 7) You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to you by the game host via PM. This includes the details of your character and role, as well as any night actions results. Role claims and reporting of results are acceptable, but in your own words only. 8) If you die, you may not post in the day thread or discuss the game with any players. Any information you had is not allowed to be passed on under any circumstances. Due to the ghost-voting mechanic, there will not be a deadboard and the dead may not communicate with each other. 9) Please don’t edit your posts! 10) Please try to post every day! Please read the rules carefully, if you notice there's some slight differences and additions that may or may not blow up completely!
KotZ Posted August 6 Posted August 6 We got him! We got a scum! Unfortunately we lost Mr. Gage. So, if all is correct, there is just one scum left. And I know who it is. Paul. "Eagle." Prescott. How do I know? I am the blocker, and I was communicating with Mr. Gage last night before his death, and I said I was going to block Mr. Neville. I successfully blocked Mr. Neville which leads me to believe that since there was a murder last night, I blocked the wrong person. And since Mr. Gage was loyal, that leads the thread back to Mr. Prescott. The only caveat here is Eagle voted first for our confirmed scum, and if he is scum, why would he do that? Throw the town off the scent and then it was too late to switch votes? There's no third party, but is there a vigilante? Mr. Prescott killed Mr. Gage, and while I do believe he is scum, there is that slight possibility he's not. Quite a conundrum.
Duvors Posted August 7 Posted August 7 I’m sorry I wasn’t available yesterday (irl), as I’ve said before I haven’t had enough free time to properly devote to this game. If I had been here sooner I’d’ve responded before now. 23 hours ago, KotZ said: We got him! We got a scum! Unfortunately we lost Mr. Gage. So, if all is correct, there is just one scum left. So instead I’ll lay my cards on the table. I am a Parity Cop. This is somewhat complex, but each night I can target a player and then learn if their alignment matches that of the player I targeted on the preceding night. On the first night I targeted Hammond (due to preexisting suspicions toward him) but as I (by definition) hadn’t targeted anyone else that left me with no usable information going into day two. I admit that my initial vote for Duncan was primarily due to him ticking me off, but I changed votes to Hammond because he told an obvious lie in public (or seemed to, his confusion might’ve been sincere for all that he was scum). I was in fact the only person to notice this before calling him out on it, despite Duncan also quoting the post in which the lie was made, which as a scum I’d’ve had no reason to do. If I were scum, then I’d’ve just let it fly under the radar and taken the easy win (seriously, the chances of Neville changing his vote without me calling out Hammond would’ve been like pulling teeth, and nearly still was even after). On the second night, I targeted Neville (since he was the main suspect at the time) and got a result of ‘different’ (i.e., different from Hammond). This being the case I have to conclude that Neville is a pirate and Cassidy is a traitor.
Bob Posted August 8 Author Posted August 8 Voting is now open! With three players left, a majority of 2 is required to lynch.

Night 1: Hammond (no info) Night 2: Neville (different) So based off of how Hammond was revealed to be a traitor and you received a different answer with Neville, you lead to believe he is loyal, which I agree. That makes sense, and of course that would lead it to being just you or me being the final scum. I think what you're saying is a lot of nothing though and you're spinning us a yarn using info scum have access to publicly but can't verify yet, perhaps you had a role cop or similar in your partner in crime Hammond and now that's all gone by the wayside. Vote: Paul "Eagle" Prescott -- Duvors I find it out how Mr. Neville has not spoken yet today.
Bob Posted August 8 Author Posted August 8 Vote Count: Michael Cassidy (KotZ) - 2 (Duvors, def) Paul Prescott (Duvors) - 1 (KotZ) With three players left, a majority of two is required to lynch. About 23 hours remain in Day Three! Duncan Gage has used his ghost vote and can not vote again. His ghost has disappeared. 21 hours ago, Duvors said: Vote: Michael "Navigator" Cassidy (KotZ) 8 hours ago, KotZ said: Vote: Paul "Eagle" Prescott -- Duvors 49 minutes ago, def said: Vote: Michael "Navigator" Cassidy (KotZ)
Duvors Posted August 8 Posted August 8 8 hours ago, KotZ said: I find it out how Mr. Neville has not spoken yet today. He's probably just busy. In any event, I can figure out what happened without resorting to my night action results. Firstly, it’s likely that Hammond was some kind of scum blocker and you are your team’s killer. On the first night he blocked Duncan and you killed Robert to clear yourself. You weren’t very active yesterday, so I think what happened was that you simply weren’t online when the thread jumped Hammond and couldn’t turn it around in time. Duncan was right when he said that no-one could deny his claim of having been blocked in the night without outing themselves, so you took the rather clever tack of saying you were a town blocker, a role moderately difficult for scum to fake, but a good way to take advantage of the situation. I have no doubt that you told the truth about contacting Duncan during the night, as you’d want his ghost vote tomorrow and lying about what he said in the day threads would cost you that. In any case, after telling him you’d block Neville, you then murdered Duncan and tried to pin the blame on me. An audacious plan, and one hinging on the assumption that Neville had no night action, but not a bad one. Your voting has been remarkably consistent by the by, I seem to remember you've voted for me every day so far. You must have pegged me as an easy lynch early on.
Bob Posted August 11 Author Posted August 11 Vote Count: Michael Cassidy (KotZ) - 2 (Duvors, def) Paul Prescott (Duvors) - 1 (KotZ) Nonvoters: Classic_Spaceman With two votes, Michael Cassidy is now dead! Night begins.
