The wheel as a whole seems like a perfect flywheel for large scale machinery (steam engine models etc.). Quote

The smart play system hasn't been reviewed by any "reputable" LAN member. But mostly by high payed "actors" so i think lego is trying to do the same with the june wave that they won't send any new june technic wave sets to reptutable LAN influencers. I personally think this is kind of scummy business practise that a reviewer can't review stuff because the company fears critisim. But hey "Only Best Is Good Enought" cant wait that sariel will be the first reviewer for summer wave again at last:). Sorry again for being critical/harsh for lego:). Being critical is one thing, but baseless speculation is another. As I wrote in my previous comment, the review embargo for the June Technic wave is much closer to the street date this time, so you can expect the first reviews this Sunday if the sets arrive on time. There’s no need to put on the tinfoil hat every time a LAN review is late. Most of the time sets arrive early, but this June wave clearly had logistical difficulties, and not only for Technic. If LEGO genuinely feared criticism, they could simply shut down the review program altogether, there would be no need for some elaborate conspiracy to delay reviews by a few days. I’m also frustrated about delays or not getting certain sets in advance, but I don’t try to assume malicious intent behind every issue they have. EDIT - the sets didn't arrive, so my June Technic/Speed Champions set reviews will only come next week when I'll be able to purchase them locally. Quote

Oh_Hi_Mao Posted Thursday at 08:25 PM Posted Thursday at 08:25 PM By the end of 2026 TLG will retire literally every Technic construction vehicle. Even the 42215 Volvo excavator will be retired 7 months earlier compared to the initial plan. Volvo front loader, Volvo truck+excavator, even little backhoe loader - all will be gone leaving huge empty space in the Technic Lineup for 2027. I am not too confident that this gap will be filled with new construction vehicles. Quote

Well, if you are unhappy with lego's decicions you can always try to take matters in your own hands and start building your own construction stuff. Like i have thought i have started my moc career when i was a little kid. But nowadays my model's are night and day difference from my youth year's moc building. Now my models actually does work and they looks have improved drastically:). Quote

8880 Posted Friday at 11:09 AM Posted Friday at 11:09 AM (edited) I'm realistic. Sure - in 2027 will TLG introduce some special Technic set (maybe sets) for the anniversary and probably it won't be a car. But the trend has been set and we will see mostly cars also in the future. I think there are separate reasons for the retirement. As 42175 was a 2024 release its run will end after almost 2.5 years (typical for sets alike). For 42209 and 42215 maybe the initial feedback wasn't that positive (we know for sure it was in the excavator's case in this community), so they might want to get rid of them ASAP. As for the future it would be a total shame if they'd just let slip the Liebherr and newly acquired JCB licenses (alongside the well-established Volvo and semi-established John Deere licenses). So I'm positive about 2027's big construction machines, but that belongs to another topic. Edited Friday at 01:59 PM by Jockos Quote
Satisfied Posted Friday at 02:55 PM Posted Friday at 02:55 PM Only set 42238 still hasn’t had official images revealed for this year’s lineup, so the 2026 Technic slate is basically wrapped up. For next year’s 50th Technic anniversary, will packaging feature explicit 50th anniversary branding just like we saw on the 40th anniversary boxes? Also, are we expecting commemorative printed tiles or similar special anniversary included parts? Quote

Also, are we expecting commemorative printed tiles or similar special anniversary included parts? If that will add extra costs and won't pump sales - we should not expect that nice detail from TLG. But lets leave this for TLG market research team (or similiar corporate team) which is responsible for 2026 being Technic car year. Quote
Timewhatistime Posted Friday at 04:08 PM Posted Friday at 04:08 PM Instead of special parts or printed tiles we better should expect some cheap stickers as a gift for celebrating Technic's 50th anniversary. No worries, they will peel themselves off automatically before the 55th anniversary will take place. Slowly the Technic line gets as old as its main target group... Quote
