Hey!

So I guess you liked my imperial ship from 2022/2023. In 2023 I decided to make diorama depicting recapture of Redbeard ( as he was a prisoner on the imperial ship I built before).

So we have a fort and some of the city shown. Ship is being built, blacksmith's doing his work, some guy is on the floor drunk...  But what's the real thing is the attack of  Redbear's crew right in the moment when their boss being led into the gallow. I tried to make it dynamic, there are some guards being shot, someone already dead, some guys running and some poor private falling of the fort walls.

Freedom for Redbeard! A great diorama with lots of action. :pir-stareyes: The individual buildings, fortress, pier, market stalls, execution site, streets and alleysare built with many details. It's really great how you dynamically positioned the minifigures.

This be a great mix of classic and new style. Are there more pictures available from different angles? Do these buildings include interiors by any chance? Either way, ye have done a masterful job on this town MOC. It is absolutely beautiful. :pir-thumb:

Just these two additional ones. On that one I didn't do the interior. I think I already had another idea in my mind back then and decided to chase it instead of doing interior. Also, I find interior less entertaining than the structures, buildings, ships etc.

Beautiful diorama :pir-stareyes: There's so much going on! Readbeard's pirates take the imperials by surprise! The gallows must wait.

And I guess that one pirate had too much booze haha :pir-huzzah2:

Aye, that be a fair point. This build is impressive already on its own. :pir-huzzah2:

Thanks guys! Your comments are much appreciated. I'll create more posts then. Ohh my why did I wait so long to start posting here. I'm amazed that an oldschool forum like this exists. It's like memories from 15+ years ago :D

I like the buildings, the details and the action. You have managed to create a very nice diorama that looks so good that it should be displayed somewhere!

The thing is... I don't have enough space to store multiple dioramas/ships on the same time. So after a project is finished it stays for some time ( usually until I have another idea and the vein to build) and after that time I take it apart and build something new :D

What a great action packed build, reminds me of the similar scene from the television series Black Sails.

Well, that was my inspiration :).

What a beautiful imperial port city. I hope Red Beard's crew mange to pull off their daring rescue. Kudos on a great moc.

Yes, they did. Some time later, I built Redbeard's ship. It stayed with us for over a year, but I had to take it apart about two weeks ago, as I'm starting a new project (on a much bigger scale... 😉). I'll post some pictures later.

Beautiful mix of old, new, with somewhat ramshackle accents here and there.
It looks like the attack went a little late since the hanging party already passed the quays. But luckily there's a backup party coming in from the streets.
