Cardinal Brick Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 I don’t know if in the long run it might be worth just having one thread of Lego featured in the news/press but that’s another discussion. I noticed today when I found the Daily Mail on the train it had an article on the Taj Mahal Sets Here’s the link to the web version if you’re interested. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10...-Taj-Mahal.html Quote
The Kid Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 I saw this too, IIRC it said it would take 35-40 hours to build... That seems rather unlikely. The new RGS has about 6x less peices, and that took 5 hours for me (I'm slow like that) so it might not be far off, but I guess finding that one piece among 5,922 might cause some delay TK Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted August 22, 2008 Author Posted August 22, 2008 I expect to spend alot of time looking for the peices, also depends on how complex the building method is might take a few attempts to get it right. Quote
metalandi Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 It also depends on if there are numbered bags or not, most likely there won't be. I spent about 8 hours assembling the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer (with breaks), so i assume you'll have to plan in two full free days for this one, if you don't want to stay up till the late night. CP5670 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 It looks like it involves a lot of repetitious basic brick construction, which goes very fast in my experience. I can't see that taking 35 hours unless the builder is not familiar with Lego. Quote
