BigDumbWookiee Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Maybe I've just never figured out the LEGO Factory site, but can you not view all of the entries into the factory? It seems like unless they're linked directly, older items fall off the listings beyond 20 pages. That's besides the point though... Are there any cool fan created trains available through the LEGO Factory, stuff on par with this Bricklink shop? http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Opie&itemID=9808582 I realize I wont find anything with decals, but strictly speaking brickwise, anyone have links to some top notch trains in the factory? Basically I just really want to get some cool cars, but don't really have the expertise to build them to this calibre. Quote
rriggs Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 (edited) I did one a couple of months back. It's a British Rail/Network South East EMU kind of based on a Class 365. Fairly accuately reproduced the red/white/blue colour scheme that was in use when these trains were new. Not sure how to paste a link to it on Factory though... rriggs Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 (edited) Can you post some pictures of it here? This is the only picture I have at the moment: It is uploaded to Factory if you search for username rojariggs you'll find it... Are you Irish by the way? Aye. Born in Dublin. Spent my formative years in New Ross (Co Wexford). Moved to the UK with my Dad's job during my teens. Now live and work in Hertfordshire. Miss the old country but the missus (a Brit) will never move away from her family! Cheers Rog Edited August 22, 2008 by rriggs Quote

BigDumbWookiee Posted August 25, 2008 Author Posted August 25, 2008 Here are some of the cars I really like: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=268034 Back row, the boxcars, gondolas and hoppers. Are those Factory buildable? Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Well Rriggs that train is fantastic. Reminds me of a South Eastern Hornby train I have. Aye. Born in Dublin. I live in New Ross's sister town (or at least it's namesake, but Im pretty sure there is some sort of official relationship) here in the states, also called New Ross. It's a little town in W/NW Indiana, about 500 people. I remember looking through history books about our town and reading about New Ross in Co Wexford. Quote

According to Wikipedia New Ross appears to have 3 sister towns, Hartford, Connecticut, USA, Moncoutant, Poitou-Charentes, France, and Newcastle, County Down, Nth Ireland. Perhaps you should write to the mayors of the 2 New Ross's and sort this scandal out! Quote
