Actually its the dark knight suit.

It's definitely the BB suit, which contained a larger bat symbol like the Lego one, as well as the same lines as the BB one, and not as many details as the TDK one.

Wrong again Batbrick, the suit is The Dark Knight because it features the armour plates.

Actually it's both and neither. The Bat-symbol is based on the BB one like Batbrick said, while the armour is TDK style. But because ot's dark grey not black, it's neither.

I still disagree, if you watch BB again you can clearly see that the Lego figure has most all of the lines and contours that the BB one has. The Dark Knight suit has many more plates and such around the collar and torso area which the Lego one odes not have enough of. Brainbox is correct in saying it is a mix, but most definitely it is slanting towards BB, which was easier to make (and better anyway in my opinion.)

Yeah, it would be cool. I think it would be nice if Lego took the same realistic approach that Nolan took and make the set more realistic and not based on the comics.

Yeah, that would be tehy awesome! It'd be SO much better to totally ignore the source material and the actual fans of the character in favour of catering to "teh realizm" of the new movies. Infact, why even respect the 70 year plus history of the comics at all?

So you're not interested in seeing any movie variations of the Lego Batman? I see no reason why they couldn't run both in the line. I personally would love to see a BB Scarecrow figure, as I myself quite liked the realistic interpretation Nolan took for the two films. I agree they should continue doing the comic book inspired line, but avoiding the movie version all together seems rather stupid frankly, given that the majority of lego fans are younger, and most of them would be more inclined to buy the sets that resemble what they saw in the movie (or for those who weren't allowed in theatres...previews).

Plus I just want an awesome TDK Joker lego minifigure.

Don't worry, I'd love to see movie inspired figs. First I'd rather them finish off other figs like the Mad Hatter etc though. That said, I'm all for movie figs, I just don't like the "I'd rather movie figs than the silly comic books!" attitude.

ye I'm not saying totally do away with the comic book inspired stuff but if they wen't with the movies for just 1 series I think it would give the line a breath of fresh air as atm I think we can all agree it's getting a bit stale what with all the bat vehicles and no actual sets like Gotham police, bank etc etc

Oh and also let's finish this suit debate:

Your originality impresses me. I admit defeat, though atleast I maintained my dignity in it.

As for Snake's comment, I agree movie sets would give it a breath of fresh air, but do you honestly seriuosly truthfully believe that would result in sets not including more bat vehicles and villain vehicles? The comics have very little emphasis on vehicles and it is Lego's choice to not make all the great Bat buildings.

70 years next May in fact. Well, save for an advert in Action Comics in April 1939, which was technically Batman's first print appearance.

The comics have very little emphasis on vehicles and it is Lego's choice to not make all the great Bat buildings.

Save for during the 50s, when everyone seemed to have them.

To be honest though, not making the buildings and locals gives us more chance to do them. It's easier to come up with an original Batmobile or Batwing/Batplane with influences from different media than it is to come up with an original building since they often look the same across the board. The Iceberg Lounge for instance, looks much the same between BTAS and the comics sometimes. It doesn't give them much scope to put their own twist on it.

It'd be nice to see some film stuff, but to be honest, I prefer the comics anyday. And that's without exception. To that end, I'd much rater see TLG finish, or at least move towards finishing, the comics-inspired stuff first, then give us strict film stuff.

Actually, I like what they're ding at the moment, mixing influences. If they gave us film sets, then we wouldn't get that streak of originality that comes from blending together lots of different Batman media.

Thanks for that, I like hearing the exact dates.

, and they needed them too, did you see how big the bat0family had become?

I kind of agree. I'd still much prefer buildings now as the two larger sets like Arkham and the Batcave from the first wave, it balances things out more and pleases everyone. Plus, my Iceberg Lounge was definitive awesomeness.

This I totally agree with. Like you, comics above all BAR NONE. I love how they seem to take the best interpretation of each character too. Catwoman has the semi hight tech costume while retaining the cat burglar classic look. Killer Corc thank goodness doesn't have a tail. Mr Freeze is based off the BTAS version which is the definitive one. Joker again thank goodness is a classy killer, etc. Plus, there are so many great homages in the sets, while stilll retaining originality, that the movie ones can wait for me.

Actually that's another reason why we're likely to see Bat-sets next year, what with it being the 70th anniversary of the character and all.

Very good point, you have me thinking positive! *gives Brainbox the most utterly and completely heterosexual hug ever* :cry_happy:

Seriously though (Do I always say that?), between the game, that and the movies, I don't see why not. How are the sales going, do we know?

All the little things that only you and I will notice.

Exactly! Remember when everyone though TLC was being stupid when it marked Joker's namer on the Batcomputer as "umknown"? WE knew the truth!

To keep things positive and on topic (for once) though, if there were BB and TDK sets, I'd most like to see:

A Better Tumbler. Call it the Batbeast or the Bat Truck or anything I don't care, I want to see a really well made and ot scale Tumbler. Scarecrow's van could come with it.

Batpod naturally, I'd love to see TLC's version. Their Batbike doesn't count. You could include it with Joker's "Slaughter is the best medicine" truck, that'd be great. Harvey's SWAT van would be with it also as the largest set.

The monorail, merely to have a comeback in monorails.

The figs naturally would be a black suit TDK Batman and Scarecrow in the Tumbler set. Joker, Harvey, Batman and Gordon in the Batpod set. Ra's Al Ghul, BB Batman, Gordon and Rachel, generic Arkham psycho, Ninja and Lucius Fox (The BEST reason for movie sets, as it makes him morel likely) randomly in the monorail set.

What do you think?

I want them. But TLC is NOT going to make them. First off, the movie came out years ago, it was too dark for many kids, and I bet you could ask any kid under 11 who Ras al Gul is, and they would have no idea what you're talking about.

However, I do think they will make sets based off of the video game. Hopefully we could get Clayface and Batgirl.
