Klaus-Dieter Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Hello everybody! After having shown three of my LDD MOCs Modern Twin House (I would be very happy to get more comments about how you like(d) it, please ), Main Street and Side Street I decided to show you now one of my several "real" (meaning not-with-LDD-built) MOCs. Regrettably I didn't take pictures of all my MOCs which I built before seven years or older . So here's one of my MOCs: Competition House I designed this house about two years ago for a German Lego competition (but regrettably didn't win anything ). As addition to the house there is a swimming-pool with a shower, a sun terrace and a little flower garden with a fountain: The house consists of: Downstairs is a garage, entrance, toilet, kitchen with dinette, stairs to upstairs and living room: Upstairs is a bathroom, sleeping room, two children's rooms and a balcony: More pictures can be found in my BS gallery (when public). Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Ha, it kinda reminds me of a Spanish holiday villa. Felt a warm wind while looking at it (it's a bloody storm out here) It might look better withe the walls in one color, but the layout, the garage and swimming pool are real nice touches! Keep on building! Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Very nice. O to be a rich minifig =) You made some wicked details Klaus, absolutely love the garage and pool fence thing. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 Thank you very much for your nice comments, Captain green hair and Calvin! Ha, it kinda reminds me of a Spanish holiday villa. Felt a warm wind while looking at it (it's a bloody storm out here) It might look better withe the walls in one color, but the layout, the garage and swimming pool are real nice touches! Keep on building! I totally agree with you, Captain green hair! I would like to build houses in one colour, too, but regrettably I haven't got enough bricks of one colour - and at the moment I preferably spend my money on sets and additional stuff (like minifigs and accessories for them) than buying bricks. Very nice. O to be a rich minifig =)You made some wicked details Klaus, absolutely love the garage and pool fence thing. Nice to hear that you like the swimming pool and the garage! I thought that a big and rich house like this one surely would include a swimming pool - so I added it to the house. BTW: The "patent" of the garage door was invented by my little brother - and I must say that this "patent" is really cool. Klaus-Dieter Quote
BlueBard Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Lovely work, here! I really like your design and your color scheme for the house. There are also some great details like the garage, the kitchen and the pool and, of course, I like the "spanish villa" style you gave to it Quote
Eilif Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Nice House. The color scheme and design reminds me of a large version the houses from the old "BASIC" line, which were marked by simple architecture and bold color schemes. A nice bridge between BASIC and TOWN, and the larger size houses of today. As an American, I see it and think "Southwest". I just got back from Arizona, and there's alot of similar architecture out there. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 16, 2008 Author Posted August 16, 2008 Thank you very much for your nice comments, BlueBard and Eilif! It's funny to read that you like the Spanish style of the villa since I originally didn't want to add this "tower" on the top of the house. But then I thought it would surely be better to add something special to the house since it was for a competition (and with "only a normal" outlook I thought that I wouldn't have a chance to get a price from the beginning on).
