Factions, Why Did It Leave Eurobricks?

I'm creating this topic to facilitate any future discussion about our old RPG, Factions. There are a lot of former Eurobricks members who are actively attacking Eurobricks because of what happened to the Factions game. What I've read and seen is fueled by lies and half-truths and has resulted in a lot of hate for this forum. To try to combat that, here is an explanation from the Eurobrick's side of things.

Factions was started by a handful of Eurobricks members (myself included). We built the game on this forum and over time added in the use of Discord, Instagram, and other external sites to help facility the mechanics of the game. As time passed, one of the game leaders, goatman461 (Ryan) started to bully other members. This included verbal attacks, abusive behavior, and game manipulation. Some Eurobricks members left the game and others left the forum completely because of the cyber-bullying. When confronted, goatman461 refused to cooperate. The Eurobricks staff asked that leadership communication be moved to Eurobricks and off Discord to help crack down on the bad behavior. Other Factions leaders did not like this demand and began removing game content off Eurobricks. This led to a more frank discussion between the Eurobricks staff and the offended Faction leaders. But rather than dialogue, they chose to stonewall the Eurobricks team and eventually had to be banned.

I personally was very sorry it all came to this nasty conclusion. But I am even more grieved that the offended Factions leaders continue to attack Eurobricks including filing false reports against Eurobricks content and running smear campaigns.

This forum is a great place to find a community of Lego builders. We welcome many different aspects of Lego play including RPGs, MOC sharing, and content discussion.
