tortfeaser Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Pleasure to be here. I've just come out of my dark age after a family holiday which included a visit to Legoland California. Now I wish I'd bought a heap of sets there, prices were ridiculous compared to home in Australia. I've been enjoying the Indiana Jones collection and went a bit nuts at the recent sales. Next up is to do a mosaic I think, and try and track down a few sets I had when I was a kid. I'm particularly keen for 367. Anyway, hi. Quote
WhiteFang Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Hi Tortfeaser! Welcome to Eurobricks! Glad to know that you had just came out of the Dark Age. No worries, it's never too late to start LEGO all over again. In fact, most of us here had experienced Dark Age in the different stages of our life. Do enjoy your stay with us. I am sure you will find Eurobricks a fun and interesting place to be in. I took the initative and curious to find out what is 367, and this is what I found. This set is released in the 1970s, where armless minifigs are used. Do explore the Town and Train forums and Space forums. There are quite a lot of Classic reviews that is done by our members such as Brickster. Quote

tortfeaser Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 Thanks for the welcome. Seems the web Lego community is pretty diverse, there's no one must-be-a-member-of forum. Lugnet seems to be dieing? Another Australian Joins our ranks! No need to ask but just curious what state are you from? I am guessing East Coast. Not really on the coast, but in the east, from Canberra, Australia's capital. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 (edited) Hi to another Aussie! Good to see you have ended your dark ages! ( I just emerged from mine last year) and yes I would be kicking yourself too having gone all the way to USA and not picking up sets there as I have often thought it would be great to save buckets of cash too. If you are on the hunt for parts or sets check out Bricklink there are some great Aussie sellers like Maxspace and Technic Wreckers who have upwards of 250,000 parts or more at any time. Cheers ISC :skull: Edited August 12, 2008 by I Scream Clone Quote
