Need help finding an old Lego web book/comic

I've been trying to track down any information I can about an old series I read online c.2006-2010. I don't have much to go on. the website it was on was a personal website, and the author made several "books" in the same world. the background on the site was black, and the navigation in story was similar to the brick bible where there were arrows on bottom to flip pages. 

the stories were set in a medieval fantasy world. I think the main antagonists were called "dragoons" and used dragon knight figures with the dragon plumes on the helms. one protagonist had a blue hand representing a blue glove that summoned a spectral (or maybe fire or some other magical/immaterial sword). people could travel using portals, though it was rare. there was an elf character who said he couldn't tell his companions his name because they would swallow their tongues(or maybe cut them) trying to pronounce it. I remember one scene where he and 2 companions were in an airship and I think they attacked an encampment from the ship. I think one of the sequel stories featured the descendants of the original characters, and they were youths attending an adventuring academy on a small tropical island that could only be reached by portal(or maybe teleportation). 

If anyone can remember the name of the stories, or a character name, or better yet the name of the creator, I would greatly appreciate it.
