BlueBard Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Finally, after some weeks of work I'm able to show the final model of my Modular Neighborhood MOC! First some general views: And now some street scenes: Hey! What are you doing there? A foreman being interviewed (maybe a little dangerous to do that in the middle of the road... ) Recycling! (Love that truck ) At work A sportive man. Well, we're at the Beijing 20008, aren't we? Now a large view of the open back: So great to have a garden in the city! And now tge interiors: The apartment in the top of the Coffee Shop, where a scottish Star Wars fan lives (notice the Scout Trooper statue) Looking at him it seems there's something great on TV! The Coffee shop With its own bathroom and... oops, sorry man Here's another shot if you want to see it empty. The interior of Tony's Italian Grocery Notice the gun under the counter An important meeting at the boss' bureau Playing poker while guarding the stairs with the rest of the gang The rest of the photos can be seen here in my Brickshelf Gallery (when public) I hope you like the job. Of course, comments are welcome Quote
Skinny Boy Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Whoah, thats really great. I Love the upstairs of the grocery shop. Nice street scenes too Quote
Erdbeereis Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Great neighborhood Bluebard! All of the scenes are great. My personal favorite is the grafitti guy, but all of the other are great as well. As for the buildings, they all look amazing with great details and nice design. I like how you did the cafe sign, it reminds me a lot of Cafe Corner. Again, wonderful work! Quote
BlueBard Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 Thanks for yout nice comments! I like how you did the cafe sign, it reminds me a lot of Cafe Corner. I think it's pretty obvious I've borrowed from it, but thanks anyway Quote
BlueBard Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 BTW, I was planning to do a little Lego comic about Maffia using this neighborhood and the characters appearing there. I've seen there's no many Comics in this sub-forum so do you people think this idea could be interesting? Thanks for your advice! Quote
maiq the liar Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Nice MOC, But... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BlueBard/Town/25_important_meeting.jpgAn important meeting at the boss' bureau Is that guy trying to bribe his boss into getting a promotion, or is there some other reason that girl ain't wearing a shirt? Quote
BillytheKid Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Looks goods and love the text under the photo's. Great job . Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 (edited) This is fantastic BlueBard. The graffitti technique is super cool. Kids feet too, smart. Bravo! Edited August 13, 2008 by Calvin Quote
bullet8542 Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 That is so cool I really like the details the TV set with the rabbit ears, What a cool layout. A comic would be awesome! Thanks for sharing. Quote
BlueBard Posted August 17, 2008 Author Posted August 17, 2008 Thanks for the nice comments! Is that guy trying to bribe his boss into getting a promotion, or is there some other reason that girl ain't wearing a shirt? Actually it's not even a girl But you're right, it really looks like the guy with the hat it's tryin' to get a good promotion LOL (I'll try to have another shot from this scene for show you the real intention of the thing Quote
BlueBard Posted August 20, 2008 Author Posted August 20, 2008 Here's a little "explanation" of the scene I think I'm going to dismantle Tony's to re-build it in a completely different way (more detailed but smaller... ) and I'll try to begin the comic about maffia. I've noticed MOC vehicles are appreciated in this forum so I'm also going to post a gallery of the vehicles used here Quote
samthelegoman1 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I like the mafia hangout! You should add a shooting gallery in there! Quote
Guss Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 nicely done and full of Details, I love the Italian grocery ^^ Quote
Dennimator Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 A sportive man. Well, we're at the Beijing 20008, aren't we? Well no, I think we´ll have to wait a little longer for that... Great work, but I suggest that you build a backside and interior on the houses. Best regards Dennimator Quote
